Airport Layover

Had one day in town to catch air flight. Double Tree was well located to take advantage of walking tour to most points of interest. Also easy access to trolley. Staff was helpfull and friendly.

Staff

This is a non-smoking hotel, however the 4th floor has an exit to the out door swimming pool that we can go out and smoke. We told the front desk staff upon arrival that one of the room is for persons who smoke, instead of put their room on the 4th floor so they can go outside to smoke, the front desk gave the 9th floor to persons who smoke and gave non-smoker 4th floor. We found out after we've already checked in to the room. If the front desk has more sense since she worked there, she should arange the suitable room for the hotel guests.

Cruising Layover

We stayed for one night only to catch a cruise the following day. The hotel staff was great and the check-in process was quick and easy. The room was large, clean and spacious since we had a party of three adults and two small children. We wanted to visit Bourbon street and the hotels location was only a couple of blocks away. We had a great time.

Overpriced

I expected more from a Hilton family hotel. Where was the free wifi. Missing. We could have stayed elsewhere and got a continental breakfast for free. Paid $7.95. Only good thing, location. Walking distance to most everything in Downtown New Orleans.

Excellent Location.. short walk to just about anything you would want to do!

Nice Hotel with Great location. Upgrade to the comfort bedding for $20 was worth it.

week end in NOLA

I love this place. Upon our arrival the check in clerk greeted us with warm chocolate chip cookies and all the staff was so friendly. I was not expecting that! The bathroom may be a bit cramped, but we did not go to NO to stay in the bathroom. Beds were comfy, in room coffee maker was great! Another great staying point to this hotel is that it is just a short walk to one of my favorite places to eat, Mother's Restaurant! Over all great place to say and be comfortable!! Will stay here again.

River boat Natchez lunch cruise rocks! Its a nice relaxing trip with awesome food! Good experience for the kids
