Fine dining, lavish rooms and Southern hospitality at this Big Easy gem
Standing tall and majestic, the Crown Plaza New Orleans French Quarter is a luxurious hotel that is conveniently located close to many of the treasures located throughout this historic city. For business travelers, the hotel boasts 32,000 square feet of space for events as well as a business center and free Wi-Fi in the lobby. Also located on the premises is Dickie Brennan's Bourbon House Restaurant and Seafood Bar, where travelers are able to enjoy some fantastic local seafood. For swimmers, a beautiful saltwater pool is a great place to exercise or relax.

aniversary holiday
we had a great time at the crown plaza. the location is fantastic. with bourbon and canal streets right there, you dont have to walk far to any destination.

we ate dinner at galatories resturant for our aniversary meal and the food was outstanding. Another great little place is the gumbo shop resturant it had the best seafood gumbo.

Reel hard
Best of the Quarter
This was a short overnight trip, just a stopover on our way to Venice, LA for a great deep sea fishing trip. Having stayed at the Astor on prior occassions we knew what a great location, nice lounge and helpful staff we where getting. We will be back.

Great location for the price
This was a great hotel for the price. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were super clean. It is within a short distance from all you can do in downtown New Orleans.

Perfect Location corner of Bourbon St.
The hotel was perfectly located and walking distance to everything.. The staff was sooo incredibly accomodating! The concierge was fabulous and his reccommendations were even better.. We checked in late and we received an upgrade at no charge,..Book the executive level if possible..For a few xtra $$, you receive complimentary breakfast daily and also evening cocktails with hors d euvres, served on that floor in what must have been the space for an xtra large suite, now furbished w/ comfy couches, tables, computer for your use and 2 large flat screens, books as well for reading..

Nice Hotel for vacation or business
Location is excellent, close to all the action at the French Quarter and surrounded by nice restaurants. A CVs pharmacy is accross the street; Several souvenir stores are less than two blocks from the hotel. You can get to the Convention Center in less than 5 min by cab, or in 15 min walking. Rooms are clean and service is very good.

GREAT Trip!!!!!
Hotel was great!!! Staff was so polite and helpful. This was our first trip back to New Orleans since the Katrina Storm, lots of changes in the city. Everyone was so nice, with information and suggestons. We arrived early for checkin and they took care of car, luggage etc. while we went on with other tasks before attending a theater production. It was a very busy Halloween Weekend in the city and they took care of us like we were the only people there!!!! Our first stay at Crowne Plaza Astor but will not be our last!!!! Great location, amenities.

My stay at Crowne Plaza was pleasant
Good location, very helpful and professional staff, and very clean and big rooms. Business center was open 24 hours and printing was free! I found it very pleasant, but weird. You have to pay for wireless access in your room, but you can print as many pages as you like for free! Overall, I strongly recommend this hotel.

Avoid during Bayou Classic
The overall experience was great, the staff was very friends and always asked if we needed anything, the only negative is not towards the hotel but I would have to say to avoid staying in the French Quarter during the Bayou Classic, the hallways were very noisy with drunk people and so was the lobby. At times it was even hard to get in and out of the hotel because of everybody blocking the entrance but like I said this is not directed at the hotel, just the location during certain events.
