Fine dining, lavish rooms and Southern hospitality at this Big Easy gem
Standing tall and majestic, the Crown Plaza New Orleans French Quarter is a luxurious hotel that is conveniently located close to many of the treasures located throughout this historic city. For business travelers, the hotel boasts 32,000 square feet of space for events as well as a business center and free Wi-Fi in the lobby. Also located on the premises is Dickie Brennan's Bourbon House Restaurant and Seafood Bar, where travelers are able to enjoy some fantastic local seafood. For swimmers, a beautiful saltwater pool is a great place to exercise or relax.

First Visit to New Orleans
Crowne Plaze New Orleans is located at an excellent location on Canal St between Burbon St (party street) and Royal St (antique shopping). Most tourist attractions are within walking distance, and you'd appreciate it when you are looking for a bathroom. I spent 4 nights at this hotel, I arrived late on Wed night, a little bit upset because the room was too cold and I had to wait till maintenance to show up to adjust thermostat since the sensor was located behind wall panel to be opened with a screw-driver. It took over two days for the room to warm up. Otherwise hotel service and amenities were wonderful. The manager left a holiday greeting voicemail, maid service was efficient and thorough (I left the room late following day, came back after lunch in two hours and the room was made up already). Large closet space, modern and comfortable beds and sheets, I slept soundly. I wish they have a refrigerator though so I could store some emergency orange juice to quench the early morning thirst from drinking too much. Hotel has six elevators so you don't wait long for a car. New Orleans was a super crazy town, everybody partied loud on the street but the only noise I got was from my neighbors dancing and singing in the hallway, GO Saints!

Great Location Comfortable Stay
The location of this hotel is great close enough to all the fun but not too close to get a quiet night sleep. The room was comfortable and clean and I would definitly stay here again.

Pretty Good
Nice location. Had a room facing bourbon st but was relatively quiet. Room was a little worn, but clean. All staff very friendly and helpful except room service was a little rude/curt on the phone. Would stay there again.

Great location!
1st inpression was not good at all. The front desk wasn't very friendly. Once we got to our room it seamed like someone had just smoked a cigarret. We saw a signed in the room for a $150 smoking fee so I decided to call housekiping to make sure they knew that wanst us who was smoking in the room. The manager come and offered us a different room so we said that was ok as long as they knew that wasn't us. Later on, I went to turn the AC off and the entired wall protection come right off on me, than later on I decited to take a shower and the handheld shower would not stay still and got all my clothing wet outside the curtin. At that point I had enough and called housekeeping again. The good thing is that they were very nice and helpfull. The manager was great and changed us from the 7th floor to the 9th with Canal street view and later sent us a botle of wine. Great, her name is mrs. Walker.

What seemed like frat parties spilling into hallways, fire alarms going off at 4am, close to no sleep for 3 nights.... Hotel itself was nice although no fridge nor drinking water.?!

Amazing
I have stayed in many New Orleans Hotels and by far the Astor Crown Plaza was my most pleasant stay. The room was spacious yet cozy and the staff were friendly and always willing to help with even the smallest request. With the location on the corner of Bourbon and Canal I was able to walk anywhere in the French Quarter. I would recommend this hotel to all of my friends and I will be staying here on my next visit to the Crescent City.
