Great getaway location.
For the location & price, room and staff quality- this place is great! They do take a $30/night hold on your card for incidentals &c which is refunded after your stay, so keep that in mind if you use a debit card. If you're looking for a clean, convenient no-frills hotel with a great location and solid service, this place is it. It's literally across Canal St. from the French Quarter. Our room didn't have the "whirlpool tub" as indicated on the reservation but we did have a west-facing room with huge windows on the 8th floor. Great view, and we didn't miss the tub at all- wake up, shower, and hit the town!

Check out Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop in the French Quarter, oldest bar in the US since 1772! Skip the Purple Daiquiri and order a Hurricane from the woman that bartends there- she makes 'em stronger than the guys so tip her well!

the hotel has good location!
The hotel is with perfect location where near to royal st, burbon st, even jeackson squar.. it's good hotel for u go back after u are drunk in burbon st. one thing i feel bad is that their bed sheet is dirty...even i found blood from towel.....

French Quarter without the noise & odor
We had a great time at St. Christopher! I had researched nearly every other hotel in and around the French Quarter, but none came close to St. Christopher in terms of amenities and value. We got a safe, fridge, Jacuzzi bath, free wireless internet, a quiet room, and free continental breakfast at a fraction of the cost compared to other hotels with similar amenities. Some people may prefer being in the thick of the French Quarter, but St. Christopher is a half-block from the Quarter and doesn't have half the noise, smell, or scofflaws walking about. The front desk folks were very friendly, helpful and had great suggestions. They even stowed our luggage for free for a couple hours nearly a week after we checked out and had gotten back to New Orleans after our cruise!

Awsome clean room
I loved my room and the closeness to Bourbon worked out perfectly for the Bayou Classic. It was clean, up to date and provided the total New Orleans atmosphere.

Really nice
Really friendly staff, giving you details of where to go/not go, good places to eat etc. The room was spacious, and no problems with internet. I could not have asked for more for the money. I would certainly recommend it to my friends.

Perfect location for the perfect price
My family and I had a wonderful time in New Orleans and we loved being so close to the French Quarter. The hotel is so close to the French Quarter but in a quieter section of it. The hotel had freindly staff and the rooms were huge. If you are an older traveller, this would be the perfect hotel for you. The bathrooms are really big, with rails for those that need a little bit of help.

Weekend Getaway
The room was small, but perfect for what we needed. This was a perfect weekend getaway to see the fun side of New Orleans for a day or two. The brick in the room was cool, and the hotel was hospitable.

Very good place to stay
Really enjoyed the stay - it is a good value and perfectly located. Take advantage of the valet parking - $28.00 - but worth it.
