Intimate, family-owned, budget-friendly hotel in the Garden District
Three turn-of-the-century townhouses were converted to make this Garden District European-style hotel. There are 27 rooms and an outdoor courtyard. Though there is no on-site restaurant, the hotel has direct access to Voodoo Barbecue through its courtyard. The family-owned and operated hotel strives for a personal touch. The hotel is conveniently located on the St. Charles Streetcar line.

Our rooms offer Queen, King, and Double Beds, and are a relaxing retreat at the end of a busy New Orleans day. Many of our single rooms offer high ceiling, some have old brick fireplaces (non-working), and others are quite cozy in their own right. Some guest rooms have a balcony or private porch area facing St. Charles Ave, and the Hotel has an upstairs Gallery for guests, as well as a front porch which guests are welcome to enjoy. Standard double bed rooms (Full and Queen) are available.

Comfortable and convenient.
The Avenue Garden Hotel is in a great location - not far from the Vieux Carre or Warehouse District. Streetcar stops across the street. Hotel was clean and comfortable. It's a cozy N'Awlins atmosphere with lots of character. (The bathroom in our room could use a tad updating.) The staff were very pleasant and responsive. The continental breakfast included cofffee, tea, oatmeal, grits, bagels, toast, coffee cakes and juice. The hotel also has a charming courtyard in which to enjoy your breakfast or leisurely visit with other guests. We recommend this for a visit to N'Awlins - away from the hustle and bustle but representative of southern hospitality.
