Hampton Inn Monroe

Room only had exterior doors, like a motel does. And, there were lots of people hanging out in the hallways, which made it feel very unsafe. Commode was full of dark brown water, so called and asked for new room. THEN I was told that the lines had been flushed and all the rooms were like that. Had to run the water several minutes to get all the lines clear. It was very alarming to see this and they SHOULD have warned me that this occurred when I checked in. Cokes in vending machines were out of date already and the small frigerator had a very strong odor. I won't be staying at this motel again. I made reservations for several people to stay here on this trip and it was quite embarrassing for me that everyone had a similiar experience.

This stay was what we expected from this chain. We generally stay at this hotel often,because we like the comfortable beds and the friendly attitudes of the staff. This hotel was located near all the shopping and dining areas.

The office staff were wonderful, the breakfast was solid but the location was quite shaky. There were people wandering near the hotel that were not staying there. No problems with break ins that I know of, but walking past people who are talking to themselves or asking for money on the hotel property was unnerving.

We came to Monroe, my wife's hometown, to visit family. This was a special time for us and the hotel made our experience positive by their professional attention. Our check-in and out experience was pleasant. All encounters with hotel personnel were friendly and positive. The complimentary breakfast was the best we've every experienced at a hotel.

We were traveling from Texas to Georgia. Needed just a place to sleep. We were pleased with every thing. The staff was super! The lobby was clean and tidy. The room smelled fresh and looked inviting to a weary traveler. I felt that this room was cleaner than rooms we've stayed at in years past. We were only disturbed by the noise from rude, inconsiderate guests. The hotel cannot be faulted for that.

Clean, comforatable rooms. Staff very friendly on check in and check out. Would definately stay at this location if in the area again.

Excellent experience. More than expected.

Excellent location with good proximity to the mall and restaurants; quiet & great hospitality. Very neat rooms with everything in working order. Free high-speed internet is a great bonus. I have stayed there three times in the past three months and have had a very positive experience and will continue to stay there in the future. But I would still say that they could drop their prices a little to be more competitive with the neighbouring motels/inns.

Overall it wasn't that bad. the shower wasn't spotless like I would have liked to seen, but it worked for the overnight stay

We arrived late, around midnight. The hotel was an older building where you entered your rooms from outside. I had my daughter and grand-daughter with me, so having to unload the car outside in the dark was disturbing, but we got to the room and the key would not work. It appeared it was already occupied. I loaded back up drove to office and was given another room! Very disapointed!!!!! I always try to stay in a Hamptom, this is the first time I was sooo disappointed.
