The worst hotel I have ever been in. Roaches spiders tv that the tube was out shower nasty broken furniture fridge that was dirty WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN

It was ok, the location could have been better, but the most thing i hates about it,i seen two roaches,ugh omg i freaked out big time. And u had to turn the sink faucet on in order for the tub water to get hot. Other than that it was ok,i guess.

The Sun Suites in Metairie is average as far as hotels go. For the money, our room was clean, didn't smell or have anything negative about it aside from the older furniture that you should expect at this price point, I only interacted with the night desk attendant at check-in, a housekeeper through the door, and the desk attendant at checkout, All were efficient and friendly enough, This location is 10 minutes outside of New Orleans, so it's good if you want to get out of the fray, but it's not an area that I would want to walk around. All in all, I would say that I got my money's worth.

First of all....I thought I completed this review, so if you see double, SORRY :) Sun Suites is an older hotel and the interior shows that, but the room, kitchen area, and bathroom were clean. NO ROACHES like most of you say. The sheets were clean and the a/c worked. The only thing worth mentioning would be the need for clean towels after using your initial sets...you have to go get them from the front desk, which I was not aware until too late, but no big deal.

torn carpets bad smells ect. could be nice if were keep up better.

Ok, this is not a 5-star establishment, but it provides what you need. And free coffee at the desk! When arriving, you may question the surroundings/neighborhood, but it is a safe area; we were out at several different hours and no one and nothing bothered us. The staff was friendly upon arrival and a quick check in. Lots of parking close to room. Yes the rooms are older - they survived several years, several guests, and a few hurricanes! They are as clean as they can be for their age. I saw NO ROACHES AT ALL - there was maybe 1 little spider in the bathroom. The carpet was clean, the sheets were clean, the curtains were clean. The a/c worked! If there were any complaints, the electricity went off twice one night - and that was not at any fault of the hotel. And if you like clean/dry towels you have to remember to get them from the front desk on a daily basis - but no big deal! No housekeeping until you check out, but if you are there just for a weekend, it is fine. I will stay here again. Convienent to downtown. Easy access off and on to I-10. Oh and Brother's is right across the back parking lot...the fried chicken is awesome!

Was given wrong key at check-in not a big deal. When I did get in the room it was dirty, if you walk around the room without shoes it is your own risk, hairs, staples, etc. nobody to check out they were 1.5 hours late arriving to work.

1/2 of security door latch was broken off. Found a dirty latex glove beside the bed. Water just trickled out of shower head, like taking a shower under a leaking gutter.

This place needs work and an onsite exterminator. I have been to many places, some not so nice and some breath taking. The Sun suites has to be the worst. I cant understand why an owner of a hotel property would run an establishment in nasty conditions. This hotel has great potential. UPGRADE!!!
