We stayed here five nights. We loved having the kitchen. The only bad things I have to say are they wouldn't give us a nonsmoking room even tho the hotel was practically empty and they wouldn't bring us extra pillows. We asked twice for pillows
and once we were told they didn't have any and the second time they said they would bring them and never showed. Great room tho, very roomy and clean.
Room was ok. Mattress wasn't terrible but not very comfortable. What I absolutely cannot stand about this place was the house keeping. I arrived late and was planning on sleeping in. I put the do not disturb sign out and had housekeeping banging
on my door at 8:00 am. I thought maybe someone stole my sign... Nope! It was still there on my way out. Go here if you don't want to sleep. It's not a very quiet place. You'll still hear banging on other doors and slamming of doors. I've been in way quieter motels that cost 30% of this place.
We only stayed one night because we were driving through to new orleans. That day w had spent all day touring the beautiful plantation homes in the area. We were greated with a very friendly staff member and were pleased to see a very clean room.
The furniture was very new and of a beautiful modern style. The television was HUGE !! So the kids loved it. The kitchen was well equipped except for a strainer for the noodles I made that night. This hotel saved us 40+50 dollars which is what I would have spent on dinner! I would MOST deffinately stay here again! Infact, I would stay here just to "get away" for the night with my husband. It was unbeleivable value for the money.
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Bring a strainer for pasta, and a sponge for cleaning dishes afterwords.
I was there for Essence Musical Festival. The room size was good, the bathroom was very nice and I like the fact that they have cooking utensiles in the room if you wanted to cook with kids and family trip. I locked my keys in my car and the guy at
the front desk was very helpful in getting me the Police to come out to unlock the door and if I would have called pop a lock it would have cost me $300.00.
