Okay for saving money to use at the casino Offers a good night sleep after gambling all night

Good location for work stay... clean/new room look, a little small but okay for a short travel stay.

Right when I walked in the front door I felt gross. It was cheesy and my skin began to crawl like I had bugs on me. Everything seemed clean enough but I knew it was just the shine of the industrial cleaner they use. The room was alright. if you can get past how it felt creepy and unclean. Free breakfast is a bagel. Never staying there again.

I was disappointed in the room. The walls were stained, and the bathroom floor was not really clean. The bed spread on both beds was stained. No countertop space to speak of in the bathroom. No hair dryer or iron in the room. The A/C unit was very loud, and soaked the carpet with condensation. The room smelled of mildew. I liked the location, but will not stay there again.

The online pictures of this hotel are decieving. I got the suite and is was pretty disgusting. The furniture is old, the walls had brown spots on them from whatever someone spilled on them maybe. The bathroom was gross and overall the place did NOT seem well kept. And it smelled. Bad. Not just because I had a smoking room but overall the hotel smelled like strong spices or BO? Idunno. So yes it was kinda ghetto but if u get the right price it can be half as much as neighboring hotels. So I guess you get what you pay for. But the online pics were much, MUCH more flattering. On the brightside, the front desk person, [...] I think, saw how distraught I was and did everything she could to help. [...] She was very helpful and if it hadn't been for her helping me get a refund I had planned on dogging this place pretty bad on every website I could find. So although the place is pretty shabby...they're doing something right by hiring great customer service help. So overall I can't complain too much. A[...] If ur looking for a cheap motel, this might be the place for you. But if u have standards and want to feel "clean" look elsewhere.

this was a golfing trip for members of my club. I thought the room was the right size, had all I needed and the whitest sheets I've ever seen.The location was close to retaurants, casinos, and the golf course. Last year I stayed in another chain in the same city and was not as pleased. I will probably stay there next year. The room I used needed a comfortable chair.

Good location - staff was friendly - room was as expected - nothing special but clean and comfortable.

My experience staying at the Microtel Inn & Suites in Lake Charles was very positive. It is conveniently located near several nice restaurants and a mall. The best aspect of the location is being near the Promenade and historic downtown. An evening carriage ride along the lake offers romance and a spectacular view of historic Lake Charles. I would definitely stay at this hotel again

The hotel's location was ideal, but that was about it. The first thing we noticed when we got there was the stains on the comforter and sheets. Someone had to come up and change the bed. Also, there was hair in the bathtub. Needless to say, we left it untouched. The next morning when we woke up, my husband had really bad back pain (the bed was uncomfortable). Last but not least, when we went down for breakfast, we found the bagels to be hard as rocks, the muffins to be inedible, and one could not use the waffle maker while the microwave was on, or it would trip the breaker.
