Okay getaway
After we checked in no one told us where to go to get to our room. The lay out of the hotel makes you walk very far from the front desk to the elevators. Room were very nice and spacious. Pool was nice but service was very slow and seemed like all servers did not want to be there. Ordered a burger and took close to an hour to receive and while waiting I had to go and get my own drink from the bar. Sushi at Asia was not up to par. Ordered dynamite roll and felt like I just ordered from Kroger's Grocery Store. The server Monica at the buffet was amazing and would truly recommend you ask for her. Jack Daniels food was very salty and server again did not act like she wanted to be there. The hostess on the other hand was extremely welcoming and happy. All in all I would not return.

Good value
Not vegas, but a very nice hotel all the same. The casino could have used extra tables and tables with more price variation. But for LA, it is the best casino you can find.

Great amenities, suspect service
Check in staff not very welcoming. Restaurants very good with great service there. Casino staff not very much fun, very businesslike. Golf course in terrible condition and not nearly worth the cost. Overall just an average experience and value for such an incredible property.

Greatest Birthday Weekend
My best friend and I met up in Lake Charles for my birthday. Room was fabulous and overlooking pool. Casino was awesome and won enough for pay for our dinner. Awesome time, great company and wonderful way to celebrate a birthday. Will be going back very soon. Staff was incredible. Only flaw was no stopper for bathtub but we maintained. Thank you L'Auberge for a great time.

Housekeeping Needs to Use Mold Remedies
What could have been a 4 star experience was a let down due to bathroom maintenance. I can offer no excuse for a moldy shower (bleach is cheap and works). Carpet needs to be replaced with hard surface flooring that can be kept clean. I got sick after eating in one of the restaurants and suspect staff or cleanliness issues. Customer facing hospitality, bartenders, and serving staff were accommodating and deserved 4 stars. Expected more entertainment options on a Friday night. Only option started at 10:30 pm.

Great stay
I had a gerat time in the lazy river, and the gambling was a lot of fun. Dinner was great and fast with very friendly staff. Will be going back later on this summer!

some good some not so good
Staff was awesome from waiters to casino staff to housekeeping. Problem was too many issues with the room. Lights not working, safe not working. They were under construction right above our room and woke us a 7 AM two mornings in a row. Aslo we had to change rooms twice as they could not fix the problems. I would give one more try because I know with construction going on some of that can happen.
