Days Inn Lake Charles

This motel is a good value. The room is clean and comfortable. The staff go out of their way to be helpful. The only problem I found was the parking. They really need to open up the back lot.

The room oder was bad. Shower curtian towren od shower we did not stay there because the over all condition was somewhere i would not leave stray dog

visited the casinos and it is a perfect location. it is only a couple minutes away from Isle of Capri. The room could have been a little cleaner but i guess you get what you pay for.

front office had 'unpleasant smell' when first enter to check in. Room had odd odor as well. Tub was stained looking. Toilet would not flush well. Carpet was wet either from the refrigerator or from the room next to us, not sure. On checkout, could not locate anyone for a while. Finally someone showed up at front desk. Not sure that I would stay at this location again.

I'd like to rate this hotel, but on my way to Lake Charles, I got a call to come in to work so I had to turn around and go back to Houston. I never got to the hotel.

Hotel was nice but parking was hard to find in the late hours of the night

It was a pleasent stay. The price was very reasonable and the bed was comfotable.

I was in the city for business. I stayed a 5days.The room was ok, except the shower curtain was molded, with other nasty stuff on it. I was given a new one promptly. The room was neat but it had only had a topical cleaning there were obvious stains,food latent finger prints.Obvious dirt around toilet bowl seat connections, all signs of a once over cleaning. I bought a bacterial spray & went over things before I got comfortable. The hotel is being sabotaged by not checking and poor cleaning. The facilities worked well TV,a/c,toilet,shower,microwave,lamps, Bed had a stain when checked for bugs,no bugs but nice bed had not been cleaned of stain. Not a bad place but they don't have cleaners that are cleaning well. I might spend slightly more somewhere else. I sat up the first nite,making up my mind if I wanted to spend the following nites. After I cleaned I felt better about the room. Im sorry the review sounds less than perfect,but it's honest. They could do better

We traveled to Lake Charles for a family weekend trip. Got to the hotel extremely late and all we wanted to do was lay down and go to sleep. When we got into the room we found that the top sheets were a little stained and after inspecting the mattresses (for bed bugs of course), we found food crumbs all inbetween. My husband went to the front desk to get more towels and to ask for a mere set of clean sheets so we can feel comfortable laying our heads down. While he was gone I found that the toilet wasn't even cleaned aftter someone apparently had a form of diarreah and it sprayed on the insides of the toilet. My 7 year old heard me cry out in disgust and said "momma, I don't wanna take a poop in there!" So on top of that my husband came back to the room and told me the front desk didn't have any more clean sheets and sent him back w/ just two towels.I sent my husband back to complain about the dirtiness of the beds and bathroom and he came back saying we are packing up and leaving. The front desk clerk advised that he couldn't "check us out" because the manager who would be in the next day would have to do that.So, after we found a cleaner more hospitable hotel (at 1am) down the street, we slept, then the next morning went back over to the Days Inn to collect our refund. The manager all but called us a liar to our faces about the room being dirty even after we walked over to the room and pointed out the poop spay on the toilet.I mean it was plain as day but she claimed she saw nothing. In the meantime, as my husband argued to get our money back, 2 other patrons came into the office, one complained of a non-working A/C, the other complained of roaches and dirty sheets...all of which she flat out denied. [...]. Do not EVER go there. I beg you.

Staff was very courteous and efficient. Check-in took less than 5 minutes and the room was in great shape. We will definitely stay there again.
