Wonderful friendly people, very comfortable stay
Upon check in, we were met with smiling faces and very helpful desk clerks. I'd have to give both of them an A plus, We asked for local restaurants, as we try to to get some good local cooking, and we enjoyed our meals very much. (Big Al's and Copeland's) The hotel is close to the highway, but we never heard any road noise, the bed was very comfortable, the towels and toiletries were upper end, did not feel that anything wasn't top-notch. Very clean. Reasonable priced, good value! We were close to a nice shopping district, but we were out sightseeing and didn't shop. Great Visit! Would go back if we were in the area again. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay!

Short drive from hotel
We LOVE Louisiana cooking, Crawfish, shrimp, oysters, and we were very impressed with all that we ate. We drove over to Avery Island to visit and it was beautiful, and enjoyed our trip to the Tabasco factory, and the food at the wagon outside was awesome! The mansion at Oak Alley was fantastic, and we enjoyed the beautiful drive just to see Old Louisiana. Everyone was so welcoming, and helpful good Southern hospitality.

We specifically picked this hotel partly because your site showed they had a jacuzzi/hot tub. Your site is out of date and they no longer have a jacuzzi/hot tub. This way very disappointing to us! Otherwise the hotel was fine, with the exception of how rude and loud other guests were!

A+ Hotel
The room was very clean, Staff was friendly, the rooms were roomy and very comfortable. The Hotel complimentary breakfast was great (Waffles, muffins, juices, eggs, sausage, coffee, cereal, ect..). The location is very convenient with many stores and restaurants close by. Price was very good compared to other hotels in the immediate area. The kids did not want to leave.

Surprised...Pleasantly
Never stayed in a Wingate before and after a long day driving, arrived to find a clean, nearly new, well designed, spacious hotel room with extremely helpful staff. Can't vouch for any others, but this Wingate was a great stopover.

My Wingate stay
My stay at the Wingate was great. It was quiet and very clean. I have stayed here several times and it is always nice. I think this motel is the newest one in Houma. I have already booked another stay at the Wingate. Staff are nice and there is a relaxed atmosphere. Plenty of places to shop and eat within a mile or so.

Great pick.
We went to Houma for Mardi Gras and the location of the hotel was perfect less than five minutes from the parade routes and on the main drag near shopping and dining establishments. The room was great bed was amazing completely satisfied and then some with this hotel.

Mardi Gras in Houma, LA
First class hotel at a modest budget price. Cleanest hot tub I have ever been in. Good free breakfast with eggs, sausage and all other food groupings. Practically a brand new hotel. Absolutely no complaints of any kind. Will make this our home away from home when traveling to Houma.
