wonderful hotel! Cheaper then staying downtown. Kind of difficult to get there from downtown even though it's very close. Tricky roads. Clean and beautiful room.

Decent hotel, convenient location
Stylized, moderate-budget hotel. Good location -- close to the city but far enough away to have a car and not pay for parking. The pool is a nice perk.

Sugar Bowl Trip
This hotel was just ok. The bathrooms were small and did not vent very well at all. None of the ice machines worked at all. The distance from the French Quarter was good.

A Pleasant Surprise
We made a spur of the moment decision to visit New Orleans to see a concert, not realizing that the town was full up with football games, music festivals, several big conventions and a bunch of other big events. Hotels were scarce so decided to take a chance on the Holiday Inn West Bank in Gretna. On the map it didn't seem to be too far from downtown New Orleans. We had a little trouble finding it at first, but after that, no problem! The hotel is clean, decor appears to have been updated recently. The room was spacious and nicely decorated, beds were comfy, bathroom nice and clean. Staff was very friendly and courteous, breakfast was super! Nice hot eggs and sausages, lots of fresh fruit, all the other cold breakfast items, cereal, yogurt, stuff like that. It was a quick 10-15 minute trip over the Mississippi River bridge to downtown New Orleans, and the cost was significantly less than hotels on the other side of the river. Overall, I'm very pleased and would stay there again.
