We ate at the Applebees right around the curve. Since we were 2 ladies we felt safe going out so close to the hotel.

Good room for the buck
Wonderful hotel with just a few glitches. All areas of the hotel visited were very well kept and quiet. We made reservations for 4 in a suite however were only given 3 bath towels. When calling the desk for more towels and stating why, the clerk responded "you need those tonight?" and I replied yes. We did not receive the towels. So I can only assume they do not keep a night housekeeper and/or one desk person as I only saw one person at the front desk. I called down the next morning and said we never received the towels and also requested a coffee maker. That was missing from the room. These were brought up immediately. Other than that the breakfast was very nice, however once again it appeared they were short on staff as I only saw one lady restocking everything and seemed a bit harried. The rooms were very nice indeed with a full kithchen.

Right off I-12, but noisy
We were given a smoking room even though we requested nonsmoking on [...]. We were swiftly given a nonsmoking room without incident. We were awakened at 12:30 am when the neighboring tenants came into their room making plenty of noise. We were awakened again at 8 am by the same people having adult fun. The walls are extremely thin even though the rooms are very nice. The hotel is right along I-12, so if you're a light sleeper, this hotel may not be a good choice. We could hear cars passing all night. Bed was very comfortable, though.

Lazy Staff
the hotel looked nice room was nice then when I went to use the bathroom the door was broke. You had to shove the door close, and it got caught on the floor so you had to lift and shove just to get it closed. Since I had just checked in called staff right away and they didnt come for another hour said it would have to be taken care of in the morning. So I told them againg the next morning and they said they would call me but would probably have to change rooms never got a call or a new room very upseting. Had to stay the whole time with a broken door then when I returned to my room the next day they didnt clean well either looked like my bed had already laid in, just poor service.

Nice Hotel!
This appears to be a fairly new Homewood Suites and the rooms are very nice. I did notice some dust and dirt in the hallways that indicated the common areas are not as well kept as they should be. But, my room was clean. The only drawback that I can think of to this hotel is location. I had to call for directions from the I-10 exit because it is not obvious where the hotel is located. You cannot see it from US 190, and the signs are small and not very much help. It is close to the interstate but you have to take what looks to be a closed frontage road to get to it. Maybe that's why the rates are so low... they need the business! I would definitely stay there again.

suite room!
we were visiting family over thanksgiving. the room and service were great. the room was really big and the staff were attentive. when we arrived some construction was going on in the hallway a few rooms down. it was noisy at first but then they stopped. evidently several rooms on our floor were closed due to damage. there was no further construction for the rest of our visit. the breakfast was really nice too. they had a waffle maker but it malfunctioned our first day so no waffles the rest of the time :( but we will definitely stay here again.
