Econo Lodge Inn & Suites

I needed something basic since I was going to be staying for an extended period of time. The room itself wasn't terrible. What made the experience unpleasant was the rude neighbors, unresponsiveness of the staff, and the horribly loud train that passes by every hour at night. At one point, I called the front desk to complain that the room adjacent to mine was blaring their television at 2am. They responded that they would take care of it, but never did. No one even walked out to the room. Early in the morning, the cleaning staff were always very loud and yelling across the complex at each other. It was an unpleasant experience.

Our stay at the Econolodge, was one of the worst experiences that I have ever had. Our room was booked right next to the stairs, and all we heard was noise all thru the night from people walking and running up and down the stairs, and the train which is directly behind the hotel, so we were up most of the night, the front door to the room has a very large gap in it so the noise was unbearbable, and to top it off the morning brought nothing but cold water,the breakfast was the only good experience we had at this hotel , I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Stayed one night while traveling through. Price was right but would not stay again. Hotel is old and room including bedding smelled very bad. Did not sleep well due to very nearby train, planes, and highway. Also, could hear everything in adjoining rooms and people talking outside room. Front desk staff person was friendly and helpful.

the tv remote was broken. the towels are too small. breakfast was not enough food variety. staff was not nice to us. the shampoo and things i needed to shower with are not worth the plastic bottles they were in. it just wasnt worth the amount i paid and i am not going there again.

We are not super picky. The room was very clean inside. The pool was being serviced. People were outside watching the B-52 Bombers come in for landing at Barksdale Airforce Base, including us. Some,who were probably staying for a while on their jobs, were cooking on their grills in the parking lot. Good place for workers on a budget.

First, The hotel is next to a train track that came through three times during the night with whistle blowing. Last time it woke me up was about 3:30 am. The full size beds were more like twin beds that were worn out and you would sort of roll to the middle. Pillows were old and flat. Room was clean but run down. Worst nigh sleep of my entire hotel experiences. I will never stay at Econo Lodge again.

The cell reception at this hotel is next to none. And since it is close to the freeway, you can't exactly go outside either, because you can't hear anything. They do have wi-fi, but it is not secure.

The door to the room had clear evidence that it had been kicked in at some point, it did not appear to have been repaired. However, the door still locked.

At check-in,the staff were very friendly. The room was clean but the bathroom could have been better. There was some minor mildew around the tub,the toilet lid was cheap plastic and the door needed replacing. The TV,hair dryer and coffee maker all worked well but they only supplied one packet of off brand coffee(I brought my own). At check-out the staff were again friendly,but seemed pretty unconcerned when I told them that some one had knocked on our door and tried to get in our room at 5 AM.
