Red Roof Inn Baton Rouge

Got to the hotel around 7:30PM. Check in was quick, however, I was handed my room key w/o any directions what part of the structure my room was at. I had to ask. The hotel clerk was somewhat in a hurry to get back to her "visitors". The room smelled very musty. After unloading some of my bags, I noticed there were no towels. Called the front desk and was told I could come down and get some. Went downstairs and was handed 1 bath towel and 1 hand towel. Left to get something to eat, but later also noticed no soap or shampoo. Went back downstairs to the front desk. Back in my room, I wanted to use the sink and noticed that the counter was wet. Noticed a water leak in the ceiling. Called the front desk again and was told that there was another room available. After packing I moved to a room down the hall from my original room. It was refreshing to see towels, soap and shampoo and NO LEAK. The next morning, however, I was awakened by a loud knocking on my door. Asking who it was I was answered with more loud knocking. Looking through the peephole in my door, I could see the person knocking. After asking again what he wanted, he suddenly sprinted away. ??? Called the front desk and told them about the incident. The clerk answering said that he would walk the premises and check things out. Worst experience ever!! My assessment is that the hotel had determined that my original room was not fit to be booked(water leak), hence the reason why it was not stocked. Question: Why was it booked anyway? Not staying at this hotel again. Not even worth the price.

As we pulled in, there were three trannies standing outside the office. We were scared to get out the car. Then when we finally got to the room it smelt like cat liter and the linens looked unwashed and had this detergent like film on it. The Guy at the desk look scared and threw an iron at them. I couldn't wait to get back to GA.

This hotel advertises for weekly rates. As a result, there was a "greeting party" of locals hanging out by their cars welcoming me in a thuggish fashion. It was right off the highway and the cheapest in 3 towns. This is the least expensive hotel...for a reason. The first room was not cleaned, the second didn't have a working remote, the third was just right. The staff did well to quickly adjust for each issue. I kept checking my car to make sure it wasn't broken into.

Filthy, smoke filled, non-smoking rooms. Bathrooms unswept in 2 out of the 3 rooms we looked at. Do not recommend staying at this motel!

I only stayed at the hotel room for about 5 hours. To get some rest before traveling to another destination. This room had blood stains on the comforter, poor mattresses and pillows, basic style bathroom, and no table to sit at and eat per say. It smelled of cat urine and the blood stain was just god awful. DON'T DO IT!!!! DO NOT BOOK A ROOM HERE!!!!

Check -in was unbelieveably slow. We waited 30 minutes and ended up leaving for another hotel because we had a wedding to attend. Everything seemed suspicious, the check-in attendant had to swipe the credit card 2-3 times for the couple in front of us. Then he said the computer had new software. He NEVER acknowledged guests who were waiting, NEVER apologized. Check-in should never take 30 minutes for one guest, then he was the only one working, on a Saturday? Elevator was broken. It was ridiculous. I will not stay at that location, ever! I'm certain the other guests waited over an hour just to check in, we left and checked-in another hotel, check-in took 2 minutes!

We needed a rest and sometime alone before the new baby arrived.

Good location basic business stay.

It was the nastiest place I've ever stayed. We stopped to sleep on our way to florida. It was nothing like the pictures on line. Customer service was not good. The whole time I was trying to check in he was answering phone calls and talking to a woman that came in. She said [*] to them in front of my 3yr old!! The place smelt like mold. There was hair in bathroom floor and sheets smelt like smoke. I would never stay there again!
