Motel 6 Baton Rouge East

Room was clean enough (except under the bed). Bed was comfortable enough for only 2 nights (morning of day 2 our backs were slightly sore) No coffeemaker, fridge, microwave, iron, etc. No alarm clock No movies or games on TV Towels only stocked for one person No shampoo, conditioner, etc. only basic soap Biggest issue: water would NOT get hot. I'm all for saving energy, but a nice hot shower after a day on the road is nice. The shower and sink would get no hotter than lukewarm - thought at first it may just have been a busy time of day, nope; no matter what time of day it was just warm enough not to be called "cold". (on the upside, it does make for a QUICK shower!) This is bare bones at its best. You really should only stay here if you need basic sleep and don't care about anything else. If that's you, this place may suit nicely!

We came for a cheer competition. More lighting would have been nice.

You get what you pay for. I didn't pay much so I didn't get much (i.e. room size, wi-fi, sheets without burn holes etc.) Also, my phone kept ringing and there was a lady on the other end. I eventually unplugged the phone to get this to stop. Great place to stay if you're trying to save money and can do without above average comfort qualities. And also great if you plan to stay for one night or a few hours.

My family and I was tired from driving from AZ and wanted to get a good night sleep. But, that did not happen. There was people fighting outside in the front of the Hotel, there were people following us to see what room we were staying in, there were people having their own party outside in the parking lot. My family and I was scared so we did not get any good sleep. Never again I will stay here. Sorry.

First thing I noticed was the shady characters hanging out there, although there was a policeman on duty at the office which made me feel better; noisy people; mattress was saggy and beaten up; cheap price, cheap ammenities!

There were "gang type" kids walking around the complex. They didn't bother me but, I called the front desk and she sent security and I never saw nor heard from these kids again. Good security.

I had a great rate for this hotel. Was concerned after reading other reviews that I was going to be walking into a nightmare but that wasn't the case. My room had new wood laminate flooring and the room was clean. Couldn't ask for anything more 'for the price'. If you are looking for a place to lay your head for a good nights sleep this is the place. If you are looking to get papmered, go someplace else and spend lots of money.

The hotel is in a great location in regard to Bourbon Street. As soon as the group I came with arrived, we were given our room and on we went to party all night. The staff was more than welcoming, but in the middle of the night when we were coming back to finally fall asleep, our room had been changed and they were telling us that we were to move to another room. Being five in the morning and tired from traveling all day, I asked to speak to a manager, which I did, and everything was straightened out, plus a couple of beers sent to the room (Great room service). Overall the trip went smoothly, except for that half hour in the early AM, my friends and I would gladly stay here again. Oh yeah you have to pay for valet parking per night.

This hotel was horrible. It was in a very bad part of town. When we arrived there were police surrounding the hotel. We cancelled our room and the hotel staff said they understood.

Just looking for a place to sleep for the night, and it was barely that. You get what you pay for, I suppose. Check-in took forever - took a good 10 minutes and there was only one person in front of me. Would have helped if the staff had not taken two personal cell phone calls during the process.
