Good Night's Sleep

When I need a night in Baton Rouge, this is my favorite stop. It's right off of I-10, and then I can eat at a variety of restaurants, shop at Target or many other stores nearby, and watch TV, use the Internet, and get a good night's sleep. It smells fresh, the floor and bathroom is clean. The room is well stocked with what I need, and staff is always friendly and helpful. My room is quiet and I highly recommend this hotel. I often stay alone, and as a lady, I'm very particular. Nice atmosphere.

Time-saving tip: Short drive from hotel

Shop or dine nearby. Use your car because of the traffic. It's right off Seigen Lane and I-10 highway, a very busy area. So if you prefer to walk, just be careful crossing the street!

Weekend Stay

Requested and confirmed a non-smoking room, but was given a smoking room upon arrival. Was told by staff that hotel was booked to capacity and nothing could be done. Don't know if this was the fault of the hotel or Orbitz, but absolutely terrible regardless. Also, room seemed filthy. Spent as little time at the hotel as possible.

Nothing special, but ok for a stay...

I stayed three nights and was woken up each night after midnight by the kids above me running around. The room had a funny smell and the breakfast was not very appetizing. The room was not bad. it was clean and the bed was nice, tv and internet worked well and staff was nice. All in all, it's not the Hilton, but for the price it is not too bad.

Not too bad for the price

The first thing went wrong when was the smell of smoke in the room when a non-smoking room was request and booked. The other thing that was slight bothersome was the shower didn't drain well and one had to shower in 3 inches of water. The beds were a little firm for my taste but the linens and pillows were perfectly clean. The carpets were clean as well. The AC worked perfectly.

Nice, Quiet adnd Friendly

I was there for business meetings and consulting. Location was conveniently close to I10 although a bit far from the location I was doing business with. Despite close proximity to I10, rooms were very quiet. Lowest priced room a bit small but for a few $ extra, you could get a much larger suite with MW and fridge - useful for extended stays. Very friendly staff.

Microtel seigen

This hotel was ok. The best feature of this hotel was the jacuzzi in the room. On the other hand, the hotel smelled awful and the air condition took at least An hour to start to cool the room. We were provided with on pillow and a blanket That we had to use as a pillow. They had garbage cans by the elevators that had Ashtrays connected to them which confused the smoking guest. I give this hotel Four stars because it was nice but they need to make some minor changes. Also, The mirror on the wall was a plus. The mirror was on the wall of the head of the bed.

The good, The Bad, & The Ugly

Visit the city, shop! Better service at the hotel such as supplied vending & ice machines, profesional desk clerks, maids not knocking & opening the door with a key at the sane time at (:20 am when check out is not till 11:00am. Beds could have ben better. The breakfast was the highlght of the trip ony!

A good value.

Positives: Price was great, friendly staff, decent continental breakfast, the bed is AWESOME, clean bathroom, convenient location to shopping/food. Negatives: Furniture and carpet in room showing some wear/tear, bring your own shampoo, front desk staff unavailable (they were sleeping) from 2-5am, inadequate sound insulation between rooms. Neighboring room guests were intimate all night long...I got no sleep. Overall: Fair value, not recommended for women or youth. At this price...I will try again.
