DISGUSTING

This hotel was nasty. It stank like a cover up cleaner. I found a toy, an uneaten piece of pasta, and a phillips drill bit on the floor. My child played on the floor and his knees and feet were totally black. I repeatedly had to clean them. They have cigarette butts littered all over the walkways and stairways. This hotel is totally disgusting.

Old - badly needs renovating

While the location of the hotel was great, it badly needs renovating. the beds are old and rickety. I sat down on one side and the mattress came up on the other side. It had been plced on a piece of wood, no frame or boxspring. We had to ask for another room as soon as we got in the one we were given because there were a couple of dead bugs around the bed. The breakfast was okay - standard for a la quinta. Luckily we were there only one night and left early in the morning.

Disappointing hotel in an inconvenient location.

First, let me say that the staff was friendly, courteous and helpful. But that's where the good stuff ends. Three stars is a massive overstatement. Maybe 2. Solid one.The hotel is pretty rundown, even for a La Quinta. There are YMCAs with better rooms. And the location is a long walk down a road with no sidewalks to get to anything. Avoid this place if you have a choice. Far better choices closer to downtown or campus.

Great value for those on the go

Location was great for a quick stop on our way on I-10. Having spent two previous days at another hotel of the same chain I have to give good recommendation to their Wifi. Strong signals and fast speeds. We did not have much time to spend in the hotel, but did notice that TV always turned on too loud, the remote buttons were very slow (low batteries perhaps), and the alarm clock was difficult to operate. Breakfast was very simple and too little seating, and overall the facilities were not as nice as the previous hotel in this chain. Overall, for the value I would say these hotels are very great in value for the money.
