Bowler's Nationals

Initially, we were put in the wrong room with the wrong view. Both rooms smelled like there was a musty mildewy problem with the ventilation (window AC units also had dirt in the vents and on the surface). The toilet was not clean under the rim, and the bathtub drain rim was stained. Ice machines were only on the third and fifth floors - very inconvenient. We did enjoy the pool, complimentary breakfasts, and the 24-hour menu. We also liked the location of the hotel.

Getting back to family

Upon arriving my husband and I was very pleased with the curb appeal and the location of the hotel. Once inside things continued on a positive note. We had a king room, with a sofa sleeper. I love the set up of the room and it was very spacious. The washroom was very small and the fan roared everytime you turned on the light. We had to change rooms when our air conditioner stopped working after the first night. The second room did not have a working fan in the washroom. The pool was a nice size although it never appeard to be clean. The complimentary breakfast was nice except for the fact that they ran out of spoons everyday,

Never Again

The first night I checked, my sheets smelled horrible. It was as if they had not been changed since the last guests checked out. I had no choice but to wait til the next day to request new sheets since my check in time was late afternoon. Even when I requested new sheets the next morning I was told my request would be last priority since I was remaining in the room another night. First priority went to rooms where guests had checked out. It seems to me you would want to take care of guests who are spending another night with you first, but I guess not. The second day I got trapped in the elevator of the hotel for about 10 mins. To top that off, when I was finally free and went to inform the staff of how frustrated this made me all they said was "sorry." I feel they should have at least offered me some type of compensation for such a frightening ordeal. Room service was poor and always late. Breakfast was not fresh at all. The pool grounds were dirty. My room smelled from the old carpet. The elevators were old, dirty and smelly. The staff was inconsiderate. I will not be staying here again unless they renovate everything from the building to the staff.

Perfect for our family Size

Overall it was a great hotel to stay in for the rest we needed after playing all day at Blue Bayou. Breakfast was very nice. The room seemed a bit stale and left an odor on our clothing, carpets could stand for a shampooing. We didn't have enough pillows and no blanket for the fold out couch. We enjoyed it even with those very minor issues!
