Circa Sisters
Great hotel!
Three sisters met in Baton Rouge to reunite for some R & R. This was our second stay at the Hyatt Place and we will return annually! Service was great. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We absolutely loved the room! It was perfect for us. One sister recently took her family of 6 to Kentucky. They stayed in a Hyatt Place as a result of such a great experience in Baton Rouge! Great cookies, too!

Mold
The hotel was nice except for the fact that there was mold growing in the room. There was also no trash can in the bathroom. Found that to be odd. The air conditioner was very very loud & toilet also ran the whole night. Other then that!!!

Good Hotel
We went to Baton Rouge for an anniversary get away. The location of the hotel was great. Right across from the Mall of Louisiana and several good eateries. There were not very many people staying at the hotel at all, so it was nice and quiet. Our room was nice, spacious and very clean. Since we were there over the New Years weekend, many places were closed or closed early, but that was no big deal. People looking for excitement might not find it in Baton Rouge unless it has to do with LSU. The hotel breakfast was OK...the area could have been cleaner. I went to get some silverware and there was obviously dirty silverware mixed in with the clean. So I just used a coffee stirrer to spread the cream cheese on my bagel.

Dining tip:
Short drive from hotel
We ate at J. Alexanders on New Years Eve. It was excellent. A bit pricey ($76 for 2 people with tip and no alcohol/apps or desserts)...but it was very high quality and good atmosphere. It is in the mall parking lot across from the hotel.

Nice Hotel
The room was spacious and clean. It was in a good location near the mall. The staff was friendly. The beds were very nice, pillow top and down pillows but the sheets could have been softer. They have a 24 hour kitchen that was very nice.

Home away from home
Rooms are like a nice studio apartment. Very comfortable for a business traveler. The breakfast buffet doesn't live up to the standards set by the professional staff and room comfort. It's very basic.

Hyatt Place -- excellent place to stay
I arrived late in the evening and was greeted with a smiling, welcoming gentlemen who checked me into my room. Telling him that I did not care where my room would be except that I wanted it quiet, he placed me in a prime location on the sixth floor. Even by the Interstate, I did not hear the traffic at all. I could not have asked for a more comfortable and spacious room. The same gentlemen made fresh coffee for us upon request and we settled in for a good, but too brief, stay. As is common in many hotels now, there was a continental breakfast awaiting us the next morning with fresh fruit, breads, cereals, and coffee. The hotel is right off of the I10, easily located and reached. In south Baton Rouge, we did not have to endure the early morning traffic as we headed out for New Orleans the next morning. It is also very close to the Mall of LA. I'll stay there again soon and frequently.
