Won't be staying there again

Well having someone call your room every 2 hours and not saying Hi or sorry wrong number. Also having people knocking on your door looking for a girl. Stay here once before but this time it was different and very uncomfortable.

very confortable

Visiting m dauger on this trip. The hotel rooms were fair. It is a place that i would stay only if I could not find another place. Too many log term stayers, with juk cars in parking lot and people grilling in the lot.

Bring a gun!

The rooms was clean, the bathroom and kitchenette were not at all. Both were terribly nasty, and being that I have slept many nights out in a tent I would have taken that over this hotel. I HIGHLY don't recommend it at all, unless you are a single male. The room didn't even have a trashcan!

OK But Not Happy

The room that we recieved had a single bed not a queen we requested. According to the hotel management reservation were for a single person with a single bed, rather than 2 persons with a queen after I complaint to them I was informed that they did not have a queen bed. I insisted that I upgraded and was finally given a room with 2 double beds. Trash in the hallways between the apartments.

Horrible Experience at Crossland-BR

There were weekends when I had to travel and work out of town from my original hometown. I had to work for this particular weekend and I just needed a nice hotel to stay for the weekend. I wasn't look for a luxurious hotel, but at least a nice standard and clean hotel. Instead, I got this dump, which looking on the outside, you would think that this is a nice hotel. The outside was clean, the landscape was beautiful with sprinklers. When I got inside, oh my gosh!!! One, you had to go in this little small office because the original office does not open after hours. It was very disorganized and the staff was not the friendliest; I have seen better in my day. When I got to the room, I could have cried; the room was messy, bed was not made; the person who previously stayed there (their stuff) was still on the nightstand. It was smoky, filthy, and just flat out horrible. I wanted to just go back down stairs and get my money back, but if you cancelled, you get another $50 tacked on your original pay for cancelling. So, I made do. Oh, my gosh, this was a horrible experience, just talking about it makes me gag. I had to spray lysol all over the beds, room and bathroom. I didn't even want to sit my luggage on the counter for fear of germs/bacteria. I was so glad when morning came to check out of this dump. When I checked out, the hotel representative was in her night clothes as if she spent the night there in the office with rollers and a hair wrap around her head. Gross!!! Please take heed to my advice--"DO NOT BOOK RESERVATIONS with Crossland hotel in Baton Rouge. The experience is definitely not worth it!!

Not recommended

Positive: People in the office were nice and helpful There was a kitchenette with plates, pots, and utensils and table with chairs. Everything was in working order. Location close to major highways. Negative: No cleaning services available for stays less than 1 week. You have to exchange used towels for fresh towels in the office and take out your own garbage. There were no clothes hangers Front Desk office was not open 24 hours Bathroom could have been cleaner Linens and pillows were old There was police present every evening?! Street was dark and hard to find; no signs on the main road. Nearby restaurants offer fast food only; no business services available; Restaurants close at 10 PM

family friendly ok

The Crooland was some what comforable, but as good as it could be. Check-in was not good when I got they did have my room ready, because the said they did have to prepare the room that fast. Like twenty minutes. The hotel was close to food places to eat that was good. When air went out in my room it took sometime to get another room so late at night. The next room was not ready to use. The next room was ok.

Never Before

During the weekend of May 25, 2007 I would say that I had never before been so forgotten at Crossland BR. I guess it was just a busy weekend, but roomservice never came. If we needed anything, we just went down and got it ourselves. We emptied our own trash because after we'd arrived back to the room, we discovered that no one had been there. I just figured that the 3rd floor was forgotten and left to fend for themselves. I'm not complaining because Crossland is a great hotel and I guess it's allowed 1 weekend of no service. I'd rather no service than bad service. This hotel always has the best rates and the best rooms, it's like a compact apartment with everything you need. The staff is very friendly and busy.
