Crestwood Suites - Baton Rouge

it was a nasty hotel the bed was torn up i will not go there every again in my life .

A little out of the way but a good value. Other than lamp shades being missing, no real problems.

The hallways smelled like urine and trash because the door to the trash room was broke and would not close. The hallway was also not clean. We couldn't use the heater because whenever we turned it on the fire alarm in the room would go off (There was only one staff member throughout the the hotel so no one came to check to see if everything was alright) The room was VERY Dirty the microwave wasn't clean and it also was missing the glass plate on the inside so we couldn't have used it even if we wanted to. The floor was unleveled witch made it hard to close the bathroom door.

This is truly an extend-a-stay and not a suite. The mattress and linens are very uncomfortable. The TV was a 19-inch tube, and there was no ice machine on the property.

Worst experience! Security door broken, 1st rm TV & phone didn't work, 2nd rm FILTHY/ DEAD BUGS EVERYWHERE! 3rd rm, finally clean & things seemed to work, BED was terrible! Next day rm not serviced, informed no daily serv. as ext. stay. Told if we requested daily service (towels only) they would, requested & told me "I" needed to bring towels to desk for new ones! When I pay for a hotel rm I expect to be catered w/daily rm service..WE ARE ON VACATION! Stayed @ ext stay before,never been treated this poorly. Would have moved to new hotel/requested a refund but booked w/Cheap Tickets & not the hotel, told nothing they could do for us. Spent unplanned nights at diff. hotels & were treated as one would expect to be treated, as guests!!

This place is a nasty place! I was awake most of the night due to the sounds off someone running back and forth in the room above me! Not to mention the nasty bathroom and all they stains on the ceiling from the leaky roof! I WILL NOT STAY HERE AGAIN! Spend a little extra money and stay at a better place!

Location was good. All else....way below par. Missing stove knob, missing reading lamp switches, killed 1 roach - 1 got away, TV turner did not work and was caked with food(?) or something else that I did not want to explore for identification, dirty silverware, no ice maker/machine, coffee bar only in the morning.

Standard Business trip- used none of the facilities at the hotel

I had to request microwave and TV remote. I should not have had to request them. Hotel looked much better from the outside. Inside carpets were dirty. I would have enjoyed FITNESS Room and POOL

We got there early to see if we could check in before 3 - they were bogged down, and that was understandable. However, after taking my name, verifying what type of room I wanted (A double bed suite, with no preference as to if it was smoking or non-smoking), and promising me a room by the time we came back at 3 - I was still not given a room until almost 4 in the afternoon. I will say that the staff was very nice, and apologetic - so that was a plus. More Downfalls - -The elevator was broken, evidently due to a large group they had recently had come through. We stayed 3 nights and there was no progress. -That being said, the only room they could give us was on the 3rd floor, because it was the only one that had been cleaned. -The interior smells, bad. The smell of a certain illegal substance and general uncleanliness WILL BE the predominant smell as you walk through the hallways. Also, the stairwells smell like bleach - but almost like they poured bleach to cover up a worse smell. -And a small detail - my lamp did not work. I didn't complain about it, because the other one still worked - but none the less, it was out. Pros -You are super close to LOTS of restaurants -Within minutes of the Mall of Louisiana (depending on traffic) -Fairly close to I-10 , really close to I-12 -The area around it is a pretty nice business district area, nowhere you would be scared to hang around outside (its the sketchy guests inside the hotel you need to worry about) All in all, this place wasn't bad enough to actually leave. I didn't fear for my safety, nor was anything inside of the room dirty or uncomfortable, but I will never come here again. Seriously - spend 10 more dollars a night and go somewhere with a happy atmosphere. :)
