sleepless

My room was about50 feet from the I-10 fence. neither my wife or I slept the first night. We made them move us for the second night to a room that does not have windows facing the highway. the bed was not comfortable the first night but that could be because we could not sleep. Bed was fine the second night. Both nights the internet was as slow as a comodore 64 using dial up. When they moved us after the first night, they said that that part of the facility was where they always put expeia customers.

Wedding weekend

We attended a wedding at Mount Hope Plantation, met with family (new and old) at the hotel, visited family in Brusly across the river, visited the old Plaquemine lock and the Port Arthur Lock, toured Nottaway Plantation, and toured the State Capitol Building, including a trip to the tower sky walk. We had a grand time!

mmm..

Hotel is okay, it in a good location, close to everything. The only thing i did not like is there are no refrigerators inside the room or ice machines around. You have to go down to the lobby to buy a cold soda or water. Everything else is great. =)

Good people, bad facility

Location is not great, because there is no public transportation in Baton Rouge to speak of. They do not offer shuttles to any local attractions and the cabs are slow to arrive and over priced.... The tile floor in the bathroom was falling apart and would hold water under the tile, as you walked in the bathroom a black brackish liquid would push through the tiles and onto your feet.... Having to walk into the bathroom & shower with sandles on is B.S. TV remote didn't work.... Called the desk 3x times and finally ended up buying batterys myself at a local gas station.... I would try a diffrent location, there's nothing great about the hotel so there is very little risk in trying another.... Had the best time down town on 3rd street, most of the local attractions are in that area and the night life is pretty good.... Good luck, good trip....

Nightlife tip: Short drive from hotel

Everything I needed

The hotel was a good price and an amazing value. It wasn't too far from Baton Rouge Airport, and it was close to everything. At the same time, it was very easy to get rest, as the environment was not noisy.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

In the description it says that there are restaurants on site, which is why I picked this hotel over others. However, "on site" for this hotel didn't mean right in the hotel. The restaurants were across the parking lot, which meant crossing a road. They were a short drive/walk away.

Terrific location!

I was really amazed at the quality of this hotel and would happily return. It's easy to reach from the interstate, right next to Outback. Safe. The staff were all friendly and polite. Room was clean and large. Beds were wonderful - slept well.

Sightseeing tip: Short drive from hotel

Everything is a short drive away from this location. Baton Rouge has tons of great shopping, entertainment options. BR is a city on the way up while other cities are struggling.

LSU Visit

Our room location was near an exit. We encountered a lot of noise by fellow quests coming in and out of the hotel. Also hallway conversations were loud.
