Terrible Buffet
Great location in downtown Baton Rouge. Within walking distance to many area attractions (River Center, USS Kid, LASM etc.). We went to the lunch buffet and were VERY disappointed. The selection was very small and the quality was poor. Overpriced!

Disappointing.
I chose this hotel because of its proximity to the River Center. The room was NOT worth the price I paid. When we tried to unpack our clothes into the armoire, we found that the bottom of the drawer was broken and falling. The coffee pot in my room didn't work and it took nearly an Act of Congress to get a cup of coffee - or to find a staff member who could tell me where to find one. We ordered room service before attending our event and the food was horrible!! This hotel was a real disappointment and does not compare to any other casino hotel I have stayed in before. I won't stay there again.

Great Serivce, Great Location
Directly across from the RiverCenter, this hotel was not only convient but had a great staff. We were able to walk to dinner, walk to the concert, and walk back to the hotel without a problem all within 5 minutes. Went to Shucks to eat that is connected to the casino portion of the hotel, and it was alright, not the best Louisiana food, but good for an easy bite for some folks.

Over priced and poor rooms
The hotel was downtown and hard to find the entrance. The location was convenient, and I guess that was why it was so expensive. Because it had nothing to do with the rooms. The first of which we were given, was not ready. The one we finally got had a musty smell. Which we realized was because there was no ventilation in the bathroom. There was water dripping from the ceiling after showering. Speaking of the bathroom, it was so small, we had to literally straddle the toilet to shut the door. VERY poor design for any bathroom. Because our original room hadn't been cleaned, the front desk staff gave us 2 free coupons for the breakfast buffet which was actually very good and a good value.

Aweful Hotel and Staff
As part of a soccer team, we travel almost every week. By far, this was the most terrible stay we have had anywhere. We had 17 rooms in the hotel in June. The service was absolutely terrible and the front desk staff and the general manager were very unfriendly and non responsive. The rooms were never made up even at 6 pm and calling the front desk would not get you anywhere!! To top that off, there was a wedding there on Saturday and we got to talk to the guests. It turned out that they were charging us $46 more per night than the wedding party guests although we stayed 6 nights there. My advice to you, DO NOT STAY THERE. go some where else. Save you money and sanity. Go to a Super 8 motel and you will have a better value and time there.

THE 1st & LAST TIME......
Upon arriving to the Belle of Baton Rouge at 9:00 p.m., the vallet parking was not avaliable and suggested that we try a surface lot around the corner...this just so happens to be the same place where they vallet park the cars. NEEDLESS TO SAY THERE WAS NOT PARKING AVALIABLE. So, we then parked in a multi-level parking garage that has some sort of affiliation to the hotel...3 blocks away! After checking in, we had to take the elevatror to the 10 level....there was only one working at the time. We ate lunch Sunday at the inhouse resturand....Shucks...perhaps a name change should be in order to SUCKS. that way there won't be any confusion of what to expect from the lazy servers and food prep staff. After wasting 2 hours there (and hour and fifteen min just to get our food); we were on the road to return home......THANK GOODNESS!!!

Disappointed in Baton Rouge
Worst Hotel Stay Ever
The worst hotel stay ever. The room was small, and I could have lived with it, but the room service sucked, the staff was not helpful at all, and the noise level was disruptive. We had people slamming doors til 2AM. Running up and down the hall making all kinds of noise. The curtains would not close, so the lights from the outside came in, and the morning light came in to wake everyone up very early after we had to lay awake til 2AM since no one put an end to the noise in the halls. I stayed at another hotel in downtown Baton Rouge just a few days before on business, and the difference in accomidations and service was as different as night and day. I would recommend that hotel for those who care to stay downtown.

Not impressive
I stayed at this hotel for one night because I went to a concert nearby. I would not stay for more than one night. The lobby was clean and the staff was friendly, but some of the elevators were not working and it smelled a little moldy. The pool was closed and it was over 95 degrees outside. This would not be a place I would recommend for an extended period of time.
