Super 8 Alexandria

First room was awful. Smelled of DOGS. Asked for another and it was much better. I would not stay here again. Continental breakfast...was out of most items.

stayed here about 6 months ago, were in town for church meetings again. stay was ok then, at this time the tv was not real clear, was told they were doing work in units. this time i called and asked for an icebox and micrwave in room was told we would have them. we checked in and told we couldn't have them. the room and hallways had a smell to them. the tv was not clear again this time, the remote didn't control the volumce very well, and you could only go one way on the channel changer. when we went in for breakfast there was a guy sleeping in there, who was told by 2 people working there to leave the room i guess, my question was why was he sleeping in there in the first place? only thing i liked this time was the water in shower was great, nice and hot. will tell people who ask about stay there we will not stay there again.

Very helpful staff, clean room, good continental breakfast. Hotel needs some upgrading. Good for overnight stays.

It wasn't a bad hotel to stay in... the location is great... it was next to pretty much everything and had a very nice, clean swimming pool.

My experience at the hotel was good. The only things was a stopped up commode, but they quickly fixed that. HOWEVER, when I checked in, they told me I had a single smoking room. My confirmation was for a double non smoking room. And, not only did Orbitz book the wrong room, the wrong room was double booked, so I couldn't even get the wrong room. I called Orbitz immediately, and was told they would get me a different room, but would not not refund me for the wrong room. A friend of mine had a reservation with Orbitz at Motel 6, but wanted to stay at Super 8 with us, so she called Orbitz to cancel. Guess what, Orbitz let her cancel. Orbitz had given me the wrong room and double booked me but would not refund me, however my friend cancelled for convenience only, and they refunded her ! ! ! I will never use Orbitz again ! ! ! The lady at Super 8 was VERY NICE. She upgraded me for an extra $12.00 and gave me what I wanted. I would like for Orbitz to refund me the $12.00 ! ! !Next time I will go straight to them and forget Orbitz. And I will spread the word ! ! ! The only recommendation I can give anyone is to not use Orbitz ! ! !

The only problem I had, was a roach in the bath tub.

The hotel was nothing special but was quite and in a good location. The staff was friendly.

We stayed here because they allowed pets, and we were picking up a puppy from a breeder. Better than what i expected. the room was clean; the carpet looked clean and new; check in was fast and easy. I've stayed at 3 stars that were worse. Close to food and drive-thru daiquires. However- they did have the poly-plastic comforters which I hate
