The outside was lovely around the pool.
I was in Alexandria visiting my mother who is in a long-term care facility. I did not stay in her home because I have the utility off. I think that the bathroom bathtub could be revamp the strips in the tub to keep a person from falling was half off and was not cleaned well. I did not complain to the staff, but I didn't feel comfortable taking a shower.

There are restaurants all around - some exceptional. Oriental Wok on Bolton Avenue around the corner and Cajun Landing across MacArthur Drive are both exceptional and so close and convenient.

Had noisy child next door so asked to change rooms. Front desk cleark was not help[ful. Said she couldn't change rooms unless there was something wrong with it. I said the hotel is basically empty on a Sun. nite. She said she woould have to call mangement to get a move approved. I said fine, call management. Switch was Okayed. New room was fine except for noisy A/C unit.

Baymont Inn, a nice motel
The inn was in a prime location, yet set way back from the busy road, so there was no road noise. It was spotless, 100% non-smoking, one cup at a time coffee, but they gave us plenty. I traveled with a colleague for a conference in Pineville. Her room had a little noise from plumbing. Mine was silent. I liked the ample open shelves under the bathroom sink and the genuine granite countertops. The bed was comfortable. The televisions were large modern LCD flat-screen. Breakfast was typical and served 6-9. We didn't use the pool, but it was very attractive with large fountain urns alongside. There were alarm clocks, but the wakeup service didn't work three out of four days. We didn't use the fitness center, but the equipment looked a bit crowded. The inn compared very favorably with similar places I have stayed. I wouldn't hesitate to return.

There are practically no restaurants open on Mondays other than the usual chains. Carino's Italian was good. Cabo Rio's was reasonable and mostly good foodwise. Bistro on the Bayou was pricey, interesting food, but might not appeal to everyone...very spicy. I liked it and service was impeccable. There apparently is no live entertainment anywhere on weekdays.

we really enjoyed our stay, very clean
we came into town for Gladys Knight concert, which was great. we checked in got dress with no problems the staff was very imformative. the hotel was very clean and quiet. Our stay was very enjoyable and I would stay there again.

Nice place to rest your weary bones
We didn't make it to the hotel until 3:30 a.m., but a quick phone call alerting the staff and our reservations were held without a problem. Room was very clean. Nice and quiet - we were able to sleep in the next morning and easily arrange for a late check-out. The hotel is a little difficult to get to from I-49, but it was definitely worth it. The staff was friendly and helpful; the rooms large and clean. We'll definitely stay there again.
