Super 8 Somerset

the desk guy was nice and curteous but the room was nothing like described on internet, the bed was not kingsize it was like sleeping on concrete floor there was no whirlpool tub, there was no water pressure in shower, it was like taking a shower under a hose. the room had an oder that clogged the sinuses. the pillows were no good, cheap grade. we went to the 127 garage sales and after walking all day we wanted a hot bath and a good nites sleep a whirlpool tub sounded great but was saddly missled and a good nites sleep was impossible on that hard bed and smelly room. i would not recomend this place to anybody.

My sons and I stayed here for one night when we were in town for a wedding. It is very centrally located right on hwy 27, so that was convenient. Though there were no smoking signs, the front lobby smelled of old cigarette smoke. From the look of the parking lot, the hotel seemed to be frequented by alot of truckers. The hall way smelled funky also, like old cigarette smoke. The room however was nice. It did NOT smell, which I was relieved about. And they had a crib available for my one year old. It was very affordable, and though the smell was a little off putting, I would go back just for the great rate.

It was nice and clean. We only stayed one night but we would def come back again!

While we were at the hotel we were treated to a fabulous light show by Mother Nature. Somehow the hotel managed to miss the lightning strike which hit the hospital up behind the hotel. All in all, this was a decent place to stay for the money. The staff was pleasant and helpful. We have no complaints- it suits a quick one night stay- clean room, shower, air and a decent breakfast.

First, their ad states free HBO and wireless. There was no HBO and after calling the office several times and being told that they needed to reset the wireless, we finally gave up trying to use the wireless 2.5 hours later. Same thing following day. We arrived 30 minutes before their check-in at 1 PM and were told we would have to wait. No problem, we were early but then the clerk went on to explain that they had been full the night before and our room would not be ready until AFTER 3 PM!. No one else was present at the time asking to check in. Did she offer to have our reserved---prepaid for room done first? NO! We went to lunch, (saw the maids outside smoking as we left) ran errands and came back at 3 PM (saw the maids out smoking again). Room was still not ready. Other rooms were but not ours. We were told to come back at 4 PM. Again, their check-in is 1 PM. Finally after the clerk could see we were fast loosing patients, she offered to give us a room that had been cleaned and was ready. DUH! We have a yearly event in this area, stayed at this Super 8 last year because several of our friends were also staying there. The room was ok but the bed slightly uncomfortable. Seeing their ad that they had remodeled and again having friends say they had booked rooms there again this year, we did the same. No remodeling had been done and beds were now even more uncomfortable, no HBO as advertised and no working wireless. If you expect some common sense service, a comfortable bed and to be able to check in when the site states you can----DON'T STAY HERE!

This Super 8 was very clean and nice. The staff to begin with acted like he could care less if I was there or not. He wasn't very informative or friendly. When I checked out the girl was very friendly and prompt. They told me to park on the side of the building because that was where my room was. When I went to park there, there was a semi trailer there parked in almost all of the spaces. I parked in the only available space in front of the trailer.While I was in my room I heard a loud noise outside of my room. When I looked out the semi truck had returned. I had to move my car so that he could hook up to the trailer. I thought he was going to leave. He stayed and I had to park in the back lot. I traveled alone and I was in a strange place.
