Not bad for the price
I came to visit my son for a couple of days and needed an inexpensive place to stay. For the money, this hotel is decent. There is a free breakfast from 6am - 9am that wasn't much (donuts, coffee, cereal, oatmeal, and waffles), but it was free so I didn't complain. The water pressure wasn't great. However, the room was clean and spacious with a nice flat screen TV, desk, recliner, and free WiFi. It was quiet and there's a nice indoor pool that was heated and felt great. My only real complaint is that they charged me $10 extra per night because I had a small caged bird with me. I've never had a hotel charge me extra for my bird and I've stayed in alot of hotels and inns that accepted her free of charge. I'd stay here again provided it was at least $10 less than every other hotel around to make up for the "bird fee".

Entertainment tip:
Short drive from hotel
Very close to downtown Louisville and also close to Jim Beam distillery in Clermont, KY. I lived in this area for 20 years before moving to Charleston, SC. I'd recommend Louisville Slugger Museum, Louisville Science Center, JB Speed Art Museum, Derby Dinner Play House, and the Louisville Zoo.

not impressed
Being a manager at a hospital in Environmental services there were several things I noticed that could have been done. The upholstered chair was very dusty, edges of the carpet could have used some care, they too were dusty. There was either a smathering of feces or something grosson the wall by the entertainment center. Bathroom could have used a little more detailing on the cleaning part. When I asked for 2 extra pillows, the clerk said If I have them. Not very sound proof, sounded like a herd of elephants were walking around all night above us. The price was right but even for that price the room could have used alot of detailing, housekeeping wise. When I went to leave, I noticed the floor was just scrubbed and the wet floor sign was up against the front door, in which I moved so others wouldnt slip and fall.

Good, cheap motel
I was in the Shepherdsville area visiting family for the Thanksgiving holidays. I was able to check in early when I arrived. The room was clean and neat, mattress was ok, not to hard, but not spongy soft, either. The folks that clean the rooms were pleasant, actually checked with me a couple of times when they saw me in the hall to see if I needed anything. The superstart breakfast is nothing to write home about, but it will do to get you started. The management had a lot of hunters over the weekend, actually started breakfast early so they could eat before hitting the woods. Room has a coffemaker, microwave, and refrigerator. Close to several eating places, at this exit and also to the Brooks, KY exit, which is a couple of miles up the road. The pool was closed, even though it is indoors. I did not see an exercise room. I will be staying here again.

Nice Clean, Convenient & Inexpensive
Stayed there to visit our son, when he graduated from BCT at Ft Knox. Easy drive to Louisville, 10min, to take in some sites, and to Ft Knox, 30min, X rt44 to 31w south. Make your own Waffles for Breakfast, which were great. Fridge and Microwave in room, is very convenient for the budget, too. No issue with Hot water for showers. Very happy with the hotel. Everything you need is within walking distance, including plenty of decent options for eating out.

great low priced stay
In Louisville on business and hotels in town to pricey for a decent place to sleep but not using the room for vacationing. Room was a little tight but had what I needed and was clean. Great staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast could use less donuts and more cereal and fruit choices. Also next time I will stay on the 2nd floor. Guest upstairs sounded like they were stomping around but did not last late.

Good for business travel
We traveled to the convention center and was was an easy commute. The rooms were clean and fine. Breakfast was just average. Lots of places within walking distance to eat. There was also a Kroger within walking distance.
