Days Inn Paducah

The price was great ($50) for advanced booking. I was weary about how the hotel would compare to my family's usual 4-5 star hotel experiences. Check-in was straight-forward and the people seemed friendly. The first thing we did when we got to the room was check the beds for bed bugs (a real concern for people from my area). The sheets looked clean with no bed bugs. There were a few stains in some of the sheets and the towels, but they looked like old stains that had probably been there. The bottom of the bathtub looked stained as well. We had a light go out during the day that was quickly fixed by a really nice maintenance worker. The air conditioner and the refrigerator worked well. The continental breakfast was lacking in things like scrambled eggs and sausage but did have a waffle iron, a variety of drinks, cereal, and donuts. The big problem was the pool. The pool had a lot of dead bugs in it, as if the filter wasn't working. There was no cover at night, and we're pretty sure the overabundance of mosquitoes meant that there were mosquito eggs and larvae in the pool. Also, it looked like a baby diaper exploded in the pool sometime between Thursday night and Sunday afternoon because there was a sandy substance all over the bottom of the pool that wasn't cleaned until Monday morning. Despite these issues, we would likely use this hotel again if we're in the area.

Daughter drove home from Atlanta to Des Moines. Long trip and drove thru lots of bad weather. On her way home, her reservation had been canceled by [...]. Hotel staff were able to find her a room. I had paid in advance, very unhappy with [...] service.

The Days Inn In Paducah, KY was very old need update badly. The carpet was wet from the bathroom to the second bed. The bathroom need update bad I could not turn on the water in the tub, My husband had to fix the nob first It was not really that clean. The second night I was very sick (I don't know what from But after we left the hotel I fleet a little better) Very disappoint I will never stay at that Days Inn again.

the staff was very friendly. The room was in need of a update, and a good rug cleaning. On the whole it was no thumbs up in my book.

Days Inn, Paducah is a comfortably no-frills motel. It appears to be an older property that could stand a good refurbishing, but is clean and, generally, well maintained. The rooms are typical Days Inn size There is no restaurant on site, but many close by
