Well...

The room was descent but the hotel itself was old and dirty. The toilet backed up on us the second day on a three nite stay, we had to fix it ourselves because of lack of staffing. The location was GREAT though and the pricing was AWESOME! If we had to stay there again I would but only if we had to.

Depends on your standards :)

We stayed in a King non-smoking room. The room had a fridge and a microwave and the bathroom was way nicer than I expected. Tile shower, energy/water efficient. The room was a little outdated but it was clean and comfortable. Our room was first floor and had an exterior door and a hallway door. It did not smell like smoke at all until late that night when our neighbor started smoking and we could only smell it while they were smoking- not long, and my friend and I are both very sensitive. The worst, though, was when we were ready for bed at midnight, we could hear EVERYTHING in our neighbors' rooms and a lot of hallway noise. We put on a white noise app, and all was well. The continental was a little more than I expected based on other reviews- big bagels, powdered/chocolate donuts, toast/bread, cereal, juice, coffee, some fruits, but nothing hot/cooked, which is too be expected for this class of motel/hotel.

Cheap and dirty, like your mom

Hotel is nothing special. Kind of dirty, the staff is friendly enough, blah blah blah. The real focus here is that it is under $100 for a room and walking distance from Newport on the Levee and Haufbrauhaus and all that good stuff. Have a couple beers at Haufbrauhaus and it will turn into the Ritz Carlton by the time you walk back. The Aristocrats.

Its ok

Have stayed here a couple times now and its just close to the bars. You get what you pay for. Its clean but the front check-in staff wasn't so pleasant. Was too busy talking than helping customers.

Earns its two stars

Not for everyone, but it's cheap. They got confused about my checkout date and cleaned out my room, taking my bag to the office. After I showed them my itinerary they looked at a different computer and saw that I was, in fact, booked for two nights.

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

It's right by the aquarium and a little attached mall with some bars. There is a Hofbrauhaus that sounds good, but I never went there.
