great stay
This was a great hotel, although I would have liked a bathtub instead of just a shower.

A recent $12-million renovation added contemporary amenities, such as updated guest rooms featuring high-definition televisions and high-speed Internet access. Features
In 1903, brothers Otto and Louis Seelbach began construction on a new hotel, creating a turn-of-the-century Beaux Arts Baroque showpiece. Unique opulence remains a Seelbach signature.
Featured in The Great Gatsby as the setting for Tom and Daisy Buchanan's wedding, The Grand Ballroom's 4,900 square feet of space offer an ideal venue for catered events and receptions.
The fitness center was recently expanded and all of the workstations have been replaced with state-of-the-art equipment by Precor®.
Dining
For meals, the AAA Five-Diamond Oakroom welcomes guests to enjoy a special culinary experience, where exquisite dishes combine local Kentucky produce with international ingredients. The Oakroom also maintains the largest wine cellar in the region.
Otto's Café features Southern cooking with an innovative twist. Open for breakfast and lunch, this 1920's-style café uses Kentucky-grown ingredients to create new taste combinations. The Old Seelbach Bar features an expansive bourbon collection. Room service is also available.

Nice, but overpriced
The Sealbach is a great location and very cool hotel. The bar is super nice and the music was good. We did not get our original room request and settled for a junior suite that was just OK. No complimentar items, no newspaper, no fruit at the clerkstand, not even coffee or water in the lobby. For the price one would think a couple of perks would be in the works.

Great weekend at a luxury hotel
Could not ask for a better location in downtown Louisville. The room was beautiful, the hotel was quiet, the staff was friendly, and the price was right. My only complaint would be the extroardinary price for the hotel parking deck ($26 a night). There is much cheaper and abundant parking just as close nearby.

Excellent staff
Excellent stay for a weekend for a wedding. While parking is a little pricey, adding valet service allows quick access to your vehicle. Quiet rooms with personable staff.

Not quite what I expected
Hotel is in a great area -- right by 4th Street Live. The rooms were tiny, bed was uncomfortable and hallway noise was not buffered. Customer service was good.

Big hotel, No room
The hotel is nice on the inside and out along with the main lobby when you walk in, and the staff is very helpful. If you have an appreciation for historical places and its significance it is a great place to stay. However, if you're going their with more people than just your self, be prepared to cramped into small rooms and sleeping on top of each other. I went with a party of four including myself with two beds, and the rooms were so small both beds were literally touching the walls on the sides with about 2 feet between them. We asked for a bigger room and got one with just over a foot of space on each side of the bed. The bathrooms are even smaller, the toilet is almost inside the shower, the door getting into the bathroom is literally 3/4 the size of the a regular door if thats not enough to warn you. We were uncomfortable in the room, especially with everyones bags and no place to put anything. Honestly, I would recommend staying across the street at similar prices with bigger rooms. Lastly, there is no pool, hot tube, or work out facility, and the maid walked into our room while we were sleeping after just one knock.
