Just what we were looking for!

We attended an event at the Kentucky Expo Center this weekend. It was short notice and we were looking for a place at an affordable rate that was clean, safe and close to the Expo Center. Oh and did I mention we preferred something without bed bugs. We read several reviews and finally found the Red Roof Inn off Hurstbourne Lane. There was a Red Roof Inn closer to the Expo Center but the reviews weren't great. The only problem we had was following Mapquest directions we printed for the trip instead of remembering the GPS. The street signs are small and hard to read so it took us a little time to locate the Red Roof Inn. So for future visitors if you locate the Bob Evans... the hotel is on the street beside it and you will have to make a U Turn to get to it if coming from I64. Once we got to the Red Roof Inn we found the staff professional, courteous and attentive to our needs. The parking lot was extremely well lit and although the building was older, the rooms were clean and smelled good. The paint and decor was fresh and the biggest plus... NO bedbugs! It is close (about 10 miles) from the Expo Center. The value was great and for a short stay I would most certainly recommend them.

red roof inn

this was a motel with no access to room from a lobby. the bed was uncomfortable and even the pillows were hard. no hair dryer, coffee maker, or frig in room. the ice machine was at the lower level of the motel and hard to get to. spooky. would not stay there again.also the room smelled moldy.

Simple and inexpensive

The staff was very nice. The room was clean. There was a smell to the room, that was probably from the carpet, but the AC helped to disguise it. There was no coffee maker, nor hair dryer, nor breakfast. Just a plain room but with wifi.

You get what you pay for

Had to keep going to the front desk to have my key reprogrammed...I also had the housekeeper walk in on me while getting in the shower (He didn't knock before entering)Had to cover myself with a hand towel it was the closest thing that I could grab.
