The Ramada was average, the staff was great. In order to get enough text I will say that the continental breakfast was a little lacking. Would have liked some breakfast meat.

Worse hotel I have ever stayed.

Don't know where to start from... It should be listed as a motel. Dirty towels, extremely dirty floors, every corner hadn't been cleaned in years. First the room assigned didn't open the door (door lock was jammed), then second room wasn't made at all.... Looked like someone was still there!; third room was very dirty but the only one available. We had 2 rooms in our party and both were dirty. Staff didn't care to see how all was. Beds were "wrapped" in a plastic cover you can feel when you sleep. Terrible experience.

Filthy

If you don't mind hair on the sheets, Hair on the sink and bathrooms, Bloodied dried's boogers all over the walls, And the smell that was from the 70s Then this is the perfect place for you. If not run for your life. This was the most disgusting nastiest place I've ever stayed in my life.

A very good hotel in a very reasonable price

The best thing is it's location. It's just 4 miles from downtown and 4 miles from grocery stores and fast food restaurants. There is a mexican restaurant in the hotel and some restaurants are at walking distance from the hotel. The staff was friendly and the hotel was clean. The only thing that needs some improvement is the breakfast menu. There could have been more choices in breakfast items.

You get what you pay for

There to visit family and just needed a place to rest my head so the location right off the interstate was the big draw for me. If one is there simply to catch some sleep for a few hours on a tight budget, this motel can fit that bill. However, the only restaurant on site is a Mexican cantina (2nd rate) and serves a limited menu, the place is shabby, the walls thin, the filthy phone, the long outside walk to the room from the parking lot is a little unnerving at night, plus the substandard general quality and cleanliness were enough to get me to the point of wondering if the low rate I paid was still too high for this place. After arriving late, I dropped into bed only disappointed with the location of the room in relation to the parking lot and the clearly understandable voices talking in the next room. But in the morning I was able to see the condition of the room and the layer of dirt on things, so I became hesitant to even shower there. A check of the bed and it discovered clean sheets and pillowcase - to my relief. This is a poorly refurbished 1970's type sleep lodge. It's cheaper than the rest, and there are reasons to justify it being so inexpensive. Set your expectations appropriately to avoid disappointment. For me, next time I'll pay the extra $40 elsewhere for a clean, safe room with access to food and beverages.

not a good experience.

I was not happy with my room so had to move to the Marriott which really is a three star. Although the lady at the desk was very nice and she did let me look at the room. I didn't feel safe to be honest with you, so now I am out money. Feeling disappointed

Passing thru Louisville

I've never stayed at a Ramada hotel before, so I didn't know what to expect. Got to hotel just before check in time, you could tell that front desk clerk was new but she still knew what she was doing, very friendly. So we get our room we're going towards our room, kiddos noticed very large outdoor swimming pool so they were excited about that. Walked in to room, and we were all impressed with how neat the room was. Fridge micro hair dryer. Beds were comfy, AC was cold, restroom clean with lots of extra towels, what I liked the most was how close to downtown areas it was. Taking the back road towards downtown , we found a couple of parks with lots of locals walking jogging bicycling skate boarding , others playing frisbee, throwing football, kicking soccer ball, others hitting the baseball, that's how big these two parks were. So we did what locals were doing and joined them walking the bridge across the Ohio river. Excellent site to bring your camera and have all of downtown louisville as a backdrop to all your pictures from the top of the bridge.

The Mexican restaurant in the hotel was awesome. I think from the chimichangas plate I ordered two people could probably share it and still be very full. The rice was excellent. The place itself was clean, the waitress was very nice and attentive.

filthy room, rude staff

I had a terrible experience when I booked this hotel in Louisville, Ky. Imagine my surprise on June 21 when I checked in to my room on (having requested a non-smoking room) and the room REEKED of cigarette smoke. That was only the beginning. The room was filthy dirty. There were huge black cobwebs draped across the ceiling over the bed.The carpets were soiled with pet stains. There was a half full soda bottle on the floor beside the bed and trash behind the dresser. The dirty toilet seat was up and there were dead bugs on the bathroom floor and on the window sill. It was obvious the room had been used and not cleaned. I called the front desk immediately and received no satisfaction. The clerk was rudely argumentive and told me that "the booking company doesn't always forward special requests," even though I had the confirmation printed out and it clearly requested "non-smoking." Regarding the condition of the room, she said she would have housekeeping "take a look at it." I told the clerk that I wanted a different room and she informed me that the hotel was "completely booked up" and "sold out." This was a lie. The parking lot was only about 1/4 full. There were no special events going on in the city. After the 3rd call to the desk, she said she "might" have a King, non-smoking.That was unacceptable since I was traveling with a co-worker and there was no way two adult women would sleep together in a King sized bed. I wouldn't let my dog stay in that room.I ended up paying for TWO motels.
