Nightlife tip:
Short drive from hotel
Be sure to check out the 4th street area. There were lots of places to eat $ and $$$ and a couple of places for dancing and nightlife fun. Clean and safe feeling.

bath room , and kitchen equipment, and the air ???
our bath was in bad contion, not dirty, only the water faucets was in a very desolat contion!!! and the air in the room was very bad, like dirty socks in the nice kitchen the equipment (plates, knives, forks,cups,and bowls) was non-existent,only in paper and plastic

A Day at the Races
The hotel staff was VERY friendly. While staying there I came across a young boy who had lost his "Pap Paw". I took him to the front desk and the staff jumped in to take care of the child. They were so compassionate and caring. My hats off to them. The hotel was very clean and even though I did not take my pets on the trip, this hotel was super pet friendly, which is hard to find anymore. If I ever have to go back to Louisville, KY I will stay here again.

Nice and clean. Staff very friendly.
We were in town for just one night to attend a family function. The hotel was very clean and quiet. The staff was very friendly. I would stay here again.

Couldn't sleep
I slept horribly both nights due to a rock hard bed. I know firm mattresses last longer but surely there is a happy medium somewhere between the slab of concrete I tried to sleep on and a tub of jello. The ability to get a good nights sleep before a huge (incredibly important) meeting cannot be underestimated. A good nights sleep can also mean the difference between a good vacation and a great one. The noise I referenced above was due to some kids running up and down the halls until around midnight which could happen basically anywhere. So, I wouldn't hold that against La quinta. On the other hand, the small kitchenette (fridge, microwave, bar sink and coffee maker) was a nice surprise.

a basic, near the airport hotel
Located in a strip mall-ish area near the airport. Reasonably clean and comfortable. No dining on-premises, but a biker bar and a sports bar within walking distance. Hotel van was not operating, but they paid for my taxi.
