I was in KY for a meeting and the sponsoring hotel was full, so I stayed at the Hyatt as an alternative. It is a pretty ... standard Hyatt- reliably comfy beds and linens keep me coming back. The hotel staff were extremely friendly. [...]

Great Convention Hotel
Flashdance Oct 18, 2009
In general a good experience and most enjoyable. The elevators weren't working properly for a couple of days and there ... wasn't a real rush to fix them. Difficult for a convention. Internet at ten dollars a day was pretty pricey for a week's stay. Some good restraunts nearby but a lot of chain eateries as well. Einstein's Bagels in the Lobby. YUMM!

I probably won't stay here again. It was okay, but there were a couple of things that got to me. First of all, their ... business center charges for internet service, which I think is ridiculous. Most people bring their own laptop anyways, but I don't know if they offer free wireless or not? Also, the air conditioning was awful. I had mine set at 71, and it was still hot. Woke up sweating in the middle of the night, and when I went down to check out in the morning it was hot down there as well. Walked into a bagel shop that is connected to the hotel and it was freezing, so it was obviously the hotels AC. Bathrooms are average. Shower head was low, and toilet was low. I'm 6'3", though, so again it may just be me. Fine to stay in for a one night layover, but if you are traveling for leisure, go somewhere else.

Went to Louisville for a night at 4th Street Live. This hotel is located as close as you can get to 4th St. The rooms were ... well appointed and clean and the location was perfect. For anyone going to 4th Street for a night or two you can't get better than this.

Nice but not what was promised
Sara Sep 8, 2009
The front desk staff was very nice and check in was quick and easy. The room was nice except the only view of Louisville it ... had was of the roof of the lower levels of the hotel. The bathroom was small and the shower was old and dated. Had to squat to get under the spray. Was noisy at some points but if you were higher up in the hotel it may not be so noisy. Also parking was $13 a night and the garage was tiny and cramped. But it was close to everything. Less than 90 seconds to the interstate, walking distance to many restaurants and to the riverwalk.

Great place for a couple to get away! Very helpful, friendly, courteous staff. Waiter and Bartender went to great lengths ... to help my wife give me a special anniversary gift. Great fun for all. Convenient location, close to the 4th Street area and many restuarants and night-life places. Well-appointed lobby and rooms with comfortable bed and crisp sheets. New TV. Hotel restuarant and room service were quite good.

The location is OUTSTANDING! You need never step outside if you are attending an event at the Convention Center or even to ... grab something you forgot from your car. The downtown area is readily available. Love being just catty-corner from Panera, very nice :) I was disappointed there's no "package deal" like some hotels. Parking had a fee, wifi internet had a fee, a third person in the room had a fee and breakfast was certainly NOT included in the price. The attendants were cheerful and accommodating. Expect to spend twice the money to stay here than a Hampton after the added charges. If you intend to stay downtown.. the added expense may far out weight the headache and inconvenience of other options.
