Great Location Wonderfully Comfortable
I had a room on an upper floor with an amazing view. Room was clean, staff was helpful. Restaurant was undergoing repairs but temporary restaurant facilities open for breakfast in the Spire facility at the top level of the hotel was amazing.

The Louisvile visitor center is at the base level of the hotel. The free trolley stop is across from the hotel. The bus to the airport stops just two blocks from the hotel.

Very Welcoming Staff
Great staff at the desk, not only did they check me in and answer all questions, they did so enthusiastically and while joking around with me. The hotel itself is looking a little dated, however, the renovation starting early 2012 should keep this as one of the best places to stay near 4th Street Live. Free Wi-Fi was a nice touch. Great view of the city from the room. Lack of a proper hotel bar or any atmosphere downstairs was a letdown.

The Irish pub (Ri Ra?) on 4th Street Live is lousy. Soggy fish and chips, same quality as Captain D's for $13. They play Jack Johnson rather than proper Irish music. This place is more a sports bar with an Irish theme, I'm afraid.

Great location!
Great location, easy access to entertainment and to the KFC Yum Center and KY Convention Center! Not my favortie hotel stay but a good value.

Great Stay
The hotel was perfectly located in down town Louisville. The rooms were neat and clean and the staff was wonderful. I would definitely stay here again.

City Hopping
We stayed here on our way to nashville. It was a nice stopping point. The hotel staff was helpful and the hotel was central to all the downtown fun.

Just ok
We picked this hotel based on its location to 4th street live. The location was excellent but frankly the room itself left a lot to be desired for what they charged. The walls were paper thin. We could hear the occupants next door using the restroom and the amenities were just not up to par for a hotel in the price range.

"unbeatable location for the price"
The Hotel staff was pleasant, helpful, and friendly. We were visiting to sight see and was able to see all on our to do list by wallking or catching the trolley. We had a fantastic time! Looking forward to next trip to Louisville!

I read about the Rivue Restauarnt on Line,and I wanted to dine there. The food was very good,the staff was attentive,and the Decor was elegant.We enjoyed this dinning experience!

I chose not to rent a car. It worked out fine as they have flat rate to get around in the city and to and from the airport. Never a long wait for a taxi.
