Good location, good price

The hotel was very clean. the room was nicely decorated. The pool was a bit small. (The plaque on the wall said the max # of people allowed in the pool at one time was 5!!) Breakfast is not included and pricey.

Don't miss out on Lynn's Paradise Cafe while you are in town. the boys enjoyed the Louisville Slugger Bat Factory as well!

loud heater

The heating unit in our room sounded like a helicopter was landing on the nightstand. We had to be moved at 3AM. The staff was very apologetic and offered free breakfast (which I already had) but could not offer room credit or any other comps for the ruined night of sleep since we booked on [...]

Great Location and Easy to Find

This Holiday Inn is new and clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Location is pretty central, with quick access to 65 and local attractions as well. The bed was comfortable and I liked the digital thermostat for temperature control. A microwave and refrigerator in the room was an added bonus that was very convenient. The only negatives I would submit: There was a chair in the room that I wish had been a more comfortable style and the bathroom door had to be propped open (closed automatically or on a spring of some sort).

The airport, Six Flags and Fairgrounds were very close. You could see the University of Louisville stadium from the hotel as well.

New hotel workers work hard to please

The new Airport Holiday Inn had about as many smiling and hard working employees as I have seen in a while. Someone was always polishing something, and I believe the room quality was the best I've seen in a Holiday Inn. The desk staff was exceptional. Probably the only negative thing I had to say is that they seemed a bit short on room cleaning staff. It wasn't that the room wasn't always done right, but on my five night stay it wasn't cleaned a couple of times until five in the afternoon, and I was always out of the room by nine in the morning so the room was available for cleaning. But overall, a pleasant experience.
