Fabulous Deal
The room was great! The hotel staff was very accommodating and very willing to please us as guests. Very nice ambiance, however the hotel bar closed at 11p.m. on Saturday evening, this was unfortunate because we were looking forward to having cocktails. We will definitely come back though!

Very nice hotel and great staff!
The hotel was very centrally located to all the tourist activities we did. Very nice and pleasant staff, always eager to please. The pool area and game room were a big hit with my kids too. Room was very comfortable to accomodate all four of us. The hotel was very crowded while we were there and the elevators were slow. But that was the only negative about the experience. Overall, it was a really nice hotel and we would stay there again!

Not what you pay for
My husband, son & myself stayed four nights over Labor Day. If there had been any available rooms at other hotels in the area we would have left. I was realy dissatified with the over all stay. Bathroom floor had stains, refrigator in room froze everything, noise all during the night from loud guests, staff wasn't friendly. With the size of this Holiday Inn you would think there would have been more than one laundry room for guests to use. The only thing that I would consider a plus for our stay was my son enjoyed the use of the pool&hot tub.

Terrace location
I stayed in the "terrace wind", which was part of the original Holdiay Inn. The room was antiquated, although decorated nicely. That wing had a central fan in the bathroom that groaned and whistled all night long. Since I had traveled 10 hours by car, and then was traveling another 20 hours over the next two days, I was upset not to get a great night's sleep. I might stay at that hotel again, but I would never stay in the "terrace wing". there was a gap under the outside door of one inch - reminded me of a very cheap hotel room. The staff there was great.

check in was difficult
One of the beds had a hair on the sheet, in plain view. I am sure they would have changed it, but I did not want to an interruption in valuable study time. I am not sure that I would chose this hotel again if staying in the Louisville area.

Perfect for the wallet
This hotel looked like a 5 star on the inside and the staff was that alike. the food was great at the bar and there was plenty of restaraunts/bars/grocery stores on the same street yet set back from all the traffic. This hotel was definately worth the money.

Not what I expected!!
This Holiday Inn was like night and day. There was a newer tower area which was likely nice. Unfortunately, we were given a room in the OLD section - the kind with the doors on the outside. Granted, they had added a hallway so we could enter from the inside, but you get the point. The room was dirty and very run down. The sink didn't drain and there were several stains on the blankets. The neighborhood was also a little questionable. To enter the hotel, you had to drive through a BP gas station lot.
