Crowne Plaza LEXINGTON NEAR UK / KEENELAND

I was scheduled for a traning conference witht he KSHE for Jan 17 and 18 at the hotel, so I made decided to stay at the same location the conference was at. I was disapointed at the cost for the room, but the service and amenities were top notch, helping to justify the cost. Supper at the resturant was also very good. Meals catered by the hotel resturant for the conference were part of the program, and the food also was very good. When I checked out I inadverently left a bag in my room and did not discover it had been left till I came home. I caled the staff the next day and they had the bag, and are shipping it to me. Excellent service.

Although they knew there were three of us we did not have enough towels, spider webs in the corners of the room, we had no maid service ever, and then to top it off there were two dirty plates that just remained in the hallway for the two days of our stay.

After a terrible experience at another hotel, we moved over to the Crowne Plaza. As most reviewers said, it's an older hotel, but it's still very nice. The beds are very comfortable, but the pillows left something to be desired for me. The room was equipped with a nice big LCD TV that had HD channels. Although not in the room at first, the staff brought a refrigerator upon request. The second night we stayed, there was a party on the floor below us in one of the ballrooms and the staff moved us without hesitation to another room away from the noise. The pool was nice and there are two restaurants. The few negative things I encountered were the small bathrooms, terrible Wi-Fi and business center internet, and the crack under the door that allowed light and noise to enter the room easily. Would stay again at the right price. I did a 'name-your-own-price' deal and got the room for nearly 50% of cost. I likely would have been disappointed if I would have paid full price.

The entire crew was wonderful. I had rented a car and the next evening went to start it to finish my business and it would not start. I call the rental for assistance and the guy who drove the hotel van followed me to the car rental place to drop it off and drove me back to the hotel. I also thoroughly enjoyed the 9.95 luncheon - it was delicious including the desserts that came with it.

My husband and I came into town to go to Keeneland. We couldn't find a hotel near the racetrack, so we went with a good stand by. The hotel was clean, and well kept. The food at the restaurant/bar was fabulous! My only complaint is that there was no where to get any type of snack or small food item to eat. In addition, the hotel doesn't have movies. If you are wanting to relax at your hotel and watch a movie or two, this is not the place for you. Overall, nice place to stay!

I read bad reviews of this hotel, but I was not given many choices. I reserved an executive suite. A bed, couch, desk, chair. I got two beds, a table and chairs and a desk. The Heat went on by itself and would not go off. They kindly and immediately sent me to another room which was exactly one half as large. Then, they sent me to another room that looked like someone was using, bed turned down, all lights on, heavy with cigarette smoke. Who smokes anymore? The next room was still not exactly what I wanted, but ok. The restaurant was barely ok. Staff was great.
