No elevator or electronic front doors. Microwave and refrigerator extra. Rooms are clean and staff was friendly. Biggest problem: they charged me for my room that I had prepaid for through online travel agency, and staff smoked right outside front door.

Better Experience than anything around there!!
We come to the Grayson/Morehead area every August for a family reunion. We stay usually in Morehead, due to family close by. I checked on hotels there are SEVERAL mentioned BEDBUGS!! No thank you! We have stayed at another hotel on the same street as this one, NO THANK YOU! This hotel was clean, thanks to Roxanne of housekeeping, the air conditioning worked great, the room was clean, even the mirrors, (I check), breakfast was nothing special, but adequate (sausage gravy - tasteless) but bagels, sausage patties and other items were fine. Yes, we will stay again next year when we return to the area. Thanks!!

good but some problems
We stayed one night on the way home from our vacation. The location right off the highway was great for us. The breakfast in the morning was fine, about what you expect for this type of hotel. The desk staff were friendly, but the woman who cleaned up after the breakfast seemed impatient for us to leave, even though breakfast hours weren't over. Everything in the room was clean and in good condition. Our main problem was with smells. We had a non-smoking room, but it was obvious from the smell in the hallway that smoking rooms were allowed on the same level. Also, when we entered our room it was freezing cold from the AC. After 20 minutes of running just the fan, it was still cold, so turned the unit to low heat -- just for a moment, because the smell was so terrible. By morning, with the AC unit completely off, the room was a comfortable temperature.

Nice hotel ,great staff
We visited carter caves and stopped at grayson on way home, staff and breakfast was exceptional

Frugal Value Shopper
Quick Stop off I-64E
We arrived at 10:30pm. Fast checkin. We tried ordering pizza but every pizza place closed at 10:30pm. My husband ran to McDonald's as that was about all that was still open. He tried to find beer but come to find out, it is a dry county. No worries though. We had a great night sleep in a clean room and a good, free, hot breakfast the next morning. Great cinnamon rolls, cheese omelets, and biscuits and gravy. Good price for one night with a breakfast.

Very Family Friendly
The Holiday Inn in Grayson was very comfortable, the room was spacious and relaxing. The location was close to were our family was spending the day. It was a nice and friendly community.
