Friendly staff, pleasant atmosphere
The room and view were lovely here, as was the lobby with a waterfall fountain. The dining room is average and a little overpriced, also not a free breakfast. But the staff is great. We actually got help switching to a different hotel because my daughter really wanted to swim and their pool is out of commission through the summer of 2012.

Short walk from hotel
There is a lovely little downtown here just a short walk across the plaza. There is a variety of dining to be found--check out the Coffeetree, or Bistro 321 on Main Street for something special. Buddy's Pizza is perfect for casual fare.

Stayed here for a golf tournament. The room was nice and the bed but the showere was horrible. Couldn't hardly reach it to change it, then found out that was the only way the water would come out!!!! Also the towels were embarasing! They were thread bare. Not even my worse towels at home come close to being that bad! Other than that the room was fine.

Nice stay for Derby
Hotel was very nice. Rooms were clean quiet and comfortable, with many TV channels and nice view of Kentucky River. Historic Downtown a short pleasant walk. Staff was very nice. I was very glad to find smoking rooms available, but detected no smoke odor or residue. Was in town for the Kentucky Derby which was an easy 50 drive from Hotel. Only complaint were small pillows were not comfortable.

Passed through in February
We stayed overnignt on our way to Florida. First, if you use OnStar or GPS use 405 MERO as the street, otherwise you will end up elsewhere. Very courteous staff. Quiet hotel. Comfortable bed and very clean. Small bar we didn't get to. Adequate breakfast.

Enjoyed Our One-Night On-The-Road Stay
Great. Only problem was that I went to the parking garage before unloading. Unload at the front door. There is no direct elevator from the parking garage to the rooms for using a luggage cart.

Very Comfortable
We were there only overnight but found the hotel to be comfortable and clean...wish we'd have had time to explore more. 6'8" underground parking would not accomodate our vehicle but we were directed to a lot across the street (no charge). WAs pleasantly surprised when, despite our reservation, the hotel was having a weekend special and lowered our rate.
