Holiday Inn CINCINNATI-RIVERFRONT

This chain is pretty much standard on services, but this location is great for access to Cincinnati as well as great eateries and entertainment. Great for business if you are on a budget, yet still have to entertain.

Room was very clean, loved the different pillow options. Used the mini-fridge to keep snacks cold. Nice size tv and great selection of kids channels. Bathroom was very nice with ample towels stocked. The exercise room was better than expected for a hotel...decent cardio equipment. Safe neighborhood with fast food within walking distance. The only thing missing was a free continental breakfast....but a buffet was available downstairs.

It was a nice hotel. The only flaw was one day i came back from the long day having fun and the beds weren´t made. The hotel personel made us, without asking a written apology and gave us free breakfast. They were very cordial with us and tried to make our stay the best experience we had. I would stay again. Its location is very good, clean and affordable.

I was visiting Cincinnati for a day and this was perfect to spend the night. It is close to Newport and there is ample of parking space here. The rooms are tidy and well-mentained.

We arrived around midnight and left at 8am. Everything went great, reception was prompt, room was ready and tidy. Only complaint is that there is no free continental breakfast in the morning.

-No vent fan in the bathroom. -Rented a movie and quality was terrible. +In house security guard made me feel comfortable that my car would be safe and secure. +Very friendly and helpful staff. +Taxis were in the parking lot or within 5 minutes and fare was less than $10 to Cincinnati. +There is a White Castle and a Waffle House right across the street. They are in easy staggering distance for those late night after drinking cravings. :)

Fine. It's always shocking to visit a city with smoking permitted in hotels, so the scent in the halls was unfortunate (though the room was clean and smoke-free). The fitness center was unused; I can understand management not investing funds into upgrades. But the equipment was tired (duct tape on the elliptical, no cleaning products for machines). Fine experience.

We picked this hotel because of the location. Upon arriving finding out it is much further than previously told. The rooms were nice. The staff did not know how to get you to different areas and how far. We asked how far from Great American Ball Park and they told us about a 20-30 min. walk. We walked it and found out it took about 1.5 hr. walk. They are located across the river, which was correct, but they are west of the football stadium. We walked across the Ohio River and around the football stadium to get to the other stadium. The locator is very misleading on this. The Holiday Inn-Riverfront is about 10 miles away from Newport. The neighborhood is a little questionable too. We chose not to walk back after the game and opted to take the bus. We probably will not chose this hotel again due to location and some other issues. If you don't mind a long walk or taking a long amount of time to get to somewhere it would probably be alright for you.
