Masters Inn Cave City

I was in Cave City for work, and I was rather disappointed with the Master's Inn. While the front desk staff was friendly, that was really the only thing I can point out as a positive about this hotel. The room was filthy (mold in bathroom), the AC barely worked, the internet was spotty (didn't always work), and we were given a room with a queen bed despite having booked a queen. While this wasn't the worst hotel I've ever stayed in, I would defintely not stay there again.

rooms where not very clean and missing items such as remote to TV. ash trays. Doors didn't work with key cards. Was moved 3 times before they found a room that had TV. remote, ash trays, and was half way clean till you enter the bath room. There was black mold growing around the soup dish and on the ceiling. There was no vent in the bath room, and the light shut off every 10 min. I have never stayed in such a nasty place in my life time. this place was not worth 1/4 the price...

The location of the hotel was great - but there are about a dozen other hotels on the same block, and I would strongly recommend trying one of those! The biggest issues we ran into: - The A/C was broken... The knobs fell off as soon as you touched them, and the A/C never got cold (only did fan or heat... the "cool" setting didn't work) - it was hot and humid, and there was no air conditioning. Miserable! The A/C was held together with duct tape and a bathroom towel, and the hotel didn't seem to care. - The free "in-room" wireless internet didn't work... the signal would come and go, and if you could get connected to it, it was at a speed of 1kb (no, I'm not kidding)! - There was only one ice machine, and it didn't work either... Plus it was standing outside in a puddle, and the outlet it was plugged in to was pulled out of the wall with exposed wiring above the puddle - very scary looking - We reserved a "King" but the room was really only a double bed, it looked like it was originally set up to be two double beds, but it only had one in it. The room itself was a pretty good size - the bathroom was small, but decent for the price - There were only two pancake-thin pillows on the bed, but when we called the front desk, they brought us additional pillows at no extra charge Overall, it was not a good deal for the money - for $5 more a night, you could stay at a much better motel on the same block. The location was great, but the lack of A/C and Internet access would definitely keep us away next time.

This hotel is very close to the Mammoth Cave, but there aren't any restaurant around it. You would have to drive about 30 miles to Bowling Green KY for something decent to eat. The staff was friendly that they would let me check in early. The room was ok, but it's very very dirty. I wouldn't walk on the carpet with no shoes on. The water in the shower didn't have enough pressure, it took about 30 minute just to take a shower. I wouldn't stay there again for the price that I have to pay.
