Pleasantly surprised!

I booked this hotel because I needed to park my van with equipment in it right outside the room. Good luck trying to find an old school hotel like that anymore that is worth anything. I figured it would be OK because this hotel really isn't that cheap for an old school "Motor Lodge" if you know what I mean. What I found in my room was a great surprise. First of all, the room was very clean! The fixtures were mostly new, the bed was much bigger than a standard King, it didn't smell, there was a micro and mini fridge, a great little work desk and get this, a brand new flat screen. Plus, in room coffee. I know that is mostly standard now, but last week I spent 4 nights at the Beau Rivage in Biloxi, MS and NO in room coffee, plus everything else was substandard, except it was decidedly clean (keep in mind, they don't want the rooms too good at a casino so you won't stay in there too long!). I digress, just feel confident staying at News. Compared to my vast experiences staying at chains, I would give it a major plug, as long as you understand it's old school motor lodge where you park 4 feet from the door. I like that. I will certainly stay here again if I find myself in Bowling Green again (perfect place to stage a business morning in Nashville!). One thing, make sure they put your room on the West side of the building, because the next door internet is extremely fast, much faster than News' on the West side. Highest recommendation for this hotel!

Reasonable with great location...

[...] the room was paid for and ready when we arrived. Room was clean except that the cleaning service forgot to empty/clean the coffee pot from the previous room tenants, so needless to say, we didn't fix coffee. Fridge and Microwave were very nice to have as well.

News Inn of Bowling Green

I went to Bowling Green to purchase a motor scooter. I wanted a motel that was close to the purchase point and Interstate 65. This motel was perfect and it had a lot of eating places close by. It was as advertised and I would recommend it to anyone visiting Bowling Green.

Speedy entry into a nice hotel

A very nice basic hotel for the Motel 6 price. We got a king size bed for the price that a room with a queen size bed fetched us at Motel 6 across the street. My wife and I know this because we stayed at Motel 6 the week before.
