very comfortable to stayand located in convinient place
I am a cyclest from Japan. I have stayed here for 2days. I was very tired for riding , but I was absolutely refreshed thanks to Old Bardstown Inn. There are Mcdonalds ,Subway and Gus-station around this hotel. Its very easy to find and staff are very kindly and friendly. I hope I can come to stay again!! :-)

A one night trip
The motel was very friendly. it is about 1.7 miles from Walmart, 6 blocks from downtown, many places to eat other then fast food. The bed could've been softer personal preference but over all it was nice. Many things to do right in the area. My wife and I plan a return trip. Over all great experience. Has fridge and micro too.

Priced lower but still not worth it
This definitely is an older place. The room had a very unpleasant smell and the carpet felt...well, I didn't want to go barefoot. Everything was "low-end." On the other hand, the owners/managers were very cordial and helpful. Would not stay here again.

Cute little place
The rooms are simple but very clean. The staff is friendly and the continental breakfast sufficient. The location is excellent for distillery tours, walking through town and the most wonderful Stephen Foster Musical which is held literally across the street.

A Good Basic Motel Room
I was traveling to an early business meeting in Bardstown. This is the second time i have stayed here. It is the basic motel room and it was clean. The price is right and the inn is just across the street from the state park. I would stay here again.

Worth the Price
Wanted something close enough to attend Ky. Derby. This fit the bill! Easy location for all that I wanted to do. Visited one distillery and several wineries in the area. The room was far from extravagant but was clean, quiet and had a microwave and small frig. It beats many other places I have stayed at for much more money. Not a lot of places to eat at but many can be found within a few miles on the highway. Seems that they sell out by morning on most days.

Great historic location
My husband and I decided at the last minute(about 4 weeks) to go to the Kentucky Derby. Even though it was 45 minutes from Churchill Downs it was cheap for that weekend. Bardstown is a beautiful town! The guy at the desk was super friendly, the rooms were clean but need some updating. So if you're headed to the Louisville area and don't mind the drive or historic "charm" I would recommend this hotel!

In a pinch...
Bardstown Inn sits outside the rustic and quaint downtown. The room was clean, the rate was very acceptable and the staff polite. That's it for the pros. The cons are that you get what you pay for. The office smelled strongly of curry, the manager appeared in pajamas (obviously lives in the office area), and the room contains the absolute basics. The soap and shampoo were cheap, no hairdryer, small TV. Same for the "continental breakfast," which consisted of a small counter with a couple of jars of cereal, a package of bagels and small containers of jelly that were stale, the contents congealed into a rubbery and tasteless goo. If you must settle for a cheap rate in the area, the Inn is acceptable for a necessary one-night stay. Expect no-frill basics, though. Try the lodge along the same avenue, closer to town.

Simple but clean
The room was rather bland, ho-hum, but it was clean. HH distillery was right down the street, as was the downtown area. And, the price to stay was very reasonable. "A good place to crash"

Bardstown Trip
Nice, quaint motel. (Owner?) VERY willing to do anything to make stay comfortable. Nice rooms, window heater was ok; blew hot air then cool, then hot, etc. Think I may have found a new motel to stay at when in Bardstown.
