The General
This is an older motel that has endured several minor updates but could stand more. Bardstown is the home of whiskey distilling, the location of my old Kentucky Home and performs Swannee River plays all summer long. The General Nelson's design, construction, and ammenities are in tune with Bardstowns' look back in time therefore it may be a better fit than a new motel with all the ammenities. Overall, it was clean, quiet, and in the middle of the city's attractions. Does provide a first rate breakfast.
