I visited friends in Wichita; the hotel was close to where they lived and easy to go from and back to. The hotel was clean; the staff as friendly and helpful. This was a good experience. I arrved early and was permitted to check in early.
The Wesley Inn was a convenient place to stay for its proximity to my family's home. The first night we arrived, we were exhausted and went straight to bed, not bothering to report that the lights between our beds did not work. The next morning,
we realized the telephones also did not work in our room. When I went to the front desk to report it, the desk clerk treated me as if I did not know how to use a light switch or telephone, asking me repeatedly if I tried turining the light on, did I check the bulbs, was the phone connected, etc...After realizing I had the intelligence to know when a light and/or phone worked, she gave us a different room. As we were changing rooms, the service staff discussed the move like it was the news of the day. It was disconcerting having someone talk about you as if you weren't there. In the future, I will probably find another hotel to stay in the next time I visit my family in Wichita.
