First time stay at a Clubhouse Inn
I was hoping for another hotel, but it was full. This one showed up on my Internet search. The front desk person was not in view when we arrived, and we had to wait 3 minutes or so until he showed up. That was the only staff negative. There were free drinks and a snack mix in the lobby for happy hour. The bartender was accommodating. You pay with tickets received on checking in. We left to see a play, and when we returned the halls were alive with people. The noise carried into our room, but after 11pm it was quiet. The breakfast was higher quality than our usual place. Pets are allowed, and we both are allergic to dogs; I asked when we checked in if they had separate pet free rooms, and was told they shampoo the carpet after pets- we did not have any problem. The bed was very comfortable, including the down pillows, though the towels were standard, rather rough ones. We will certainly staying here again.

Short drive from hotel
Go see a show at Topeka Civic Theater; it's the only live theater in town, as far as I can tell, and consequently it gets all the talented people!

Quick Weekend Travelers
Quick overnight stay
Staff was friendly and helpful at check-in, even though we were late arrivals. Rooms were peaceful and quiet, although the mattresses could have used an upgrade (too soft). Great value, everything was clean and well-kept...even sausage and eggs w/ fresh fruit for breakfast!

Great hotel, budget friendly rate!
The room and hotel were spotless, and the free breakfast far surpassed expectations! No pool during the winter (it's outdoors) and the bed was pretty springy and probably needed to be flipped at the very least. Close to shopping on Wanamaker.
