Absurd reservation experience through Orbitz and Hyatt. Hopefully this review can help others avoid using this process ... -after a total of 9 calls and seven individuals all of whom who had know idea how to address a simple scheduling mistake, I was charged for the room on a date I did not travel. Note - I tried for three days ahead of the scheduled trip to resolve this fiasco. Note that Hyatt says you can change within 24 hours. Note Orbitz guarantees satisfaction. Neither apparently apply when you book through Orbitz. Nowhere was competence even suggested by the Orbitz staff handling my calls. Avoid at all cost - or at least at the cost of an unwanted room.

I really enjoyed the Starbucks coffee drinks and the ready-to-order menu in the hotel. Drinks and specialty snacks are available at all hours. A semi-bar is in the lobby to sit and enjoy the drinks.

The Hyatt Place was everything I hoped for and a whole lot more. The room had an extra living area with a pull-out bed. Very ... spacious room and top-notch cleanliness. I would have enjoyed an indoor pool rather than the outdoor one, but no complaints. Rooms are quiet at night and a great nigh of rest is assured. The location is excellent, with great dining and many shopping centers within a couple miles.

The Hyatt Place in Overland Park Convention Center is a good place to stay while visiting the Kansas City area. The staff ... were accessible, responsive, and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable and we especially liked the high def television. The location was excellent, only about 20 minutes from Country Club Plaza and close to major roads. Only two complaints: the linens were a little scratchy and the bathroom was bit small. Overall, we recommend this hotel.

The Hyatt Place, Overland Park, KS, is very comfortable, with hip furnishings, an incredible AV panel near the 42 flat screen ... TV, and nice touches, like real glasses and cups, a small coffee maker, wet bar, etc. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. There's an upscale shopping center nearby with a Dean and Delucca's, good restaurants, etc. I was very pleased with this hotel and will seek our Hyatt Place's in the future. I travel a lot for business and found that they have the business traveler in mind.

The Houlihan's restaurant in the close-by shopping center has great good and is a comfortable place for the solo diner, a couple or group or a family.

One of the nicer hotels that I've had a chance to stay in, the room was huge with it's own living room and office area. The ... grill in the lobby is open 24 hours and the stand next to it that serves pastries, coffee and snacks is open late as well. The location of the hotel is close to a number of malls making it easy to find things to do.
